Hello from Los Angeles, California! We are Paige & Robert. We’re excited for you to get to know about us and our family. We’ve been together for over 6 years and married for 2…time sure flies! We are a proud Father/ Bonus Mom to twin boys, Ryan and Trevor, who live with us every other week, when they’re not with their mom. We are also proud parents to our two furry babies, Hugo a 9-year-old rescue, and Louie an almost 2-year-old Labrador mix rescue.

We both find fulfillment in our careers: Robert thrives in advertising, collaborating with companies like Buffalo Wild Wings and ESPN, while Paige contributes her expertise at Disney. This promises many enjoyable family outings to Disneyland in your child’s future!

Around the time we first met, both of us had just returned from vacation, Robert with his boys who were about 11, and Paige from a solo trip to Paris. It was on this trip that Paige, having always wanted children but not having met the right partner, began to seriously contemplate adoption on her own, however everything changed when she met Robert and their lives changed forever. Paige loved the stories Robert told of all the adventures he and his boys had; and from those early conversations about our lives and what we were looking for in a relationship… Adoption was always a part of our shared dream.

We met through close friends, who knew we’d be perfect for each other, and they were right! The more time we spent together, the more we each realized how special the other was, how special our connection was, and how lucky we were to have found each other. For Paige, it was Robert’s optimism, positivity, and confidence that anything is possible. From the very first day they met, Robert always made Paige laugh, and still does! For Robert, it was Paige’s infectious laugh, her inexhaustible curiosity, and her adventurous spirit that had him wanting to spend every minute with her and spend their lives together.

We are partners in everything we do and we have each other’s backs, no matter what. We balance each other out and fill our family’s life with unconditional love. As long as we’re together we know no challenge or obstacle is too big for our family to get through. We value each other, the life that we have built together and are filled with gratitude because we know how lucky we are. When we met, we merged our full and joyful lives into one, and we continue our journey together, supporting and growing with each other through every passing day.

We love to travel and can’t wait to show our child all the places in the world we love to go and discover all the new places we haven’t been to yet! We take trips whenever we can, including the big family trip we take every summer. It was on our first trip together as a family, where Paige, Ryan, and Trevor really bonded and Robert knew she was ‘the One.’ On that trip to Jamaica, our adventurous spirits came together! Robert and Trevor even got scuba certified and have continued to go scuba diving on other vacations, while Paige and Ryan explore whatever area we’re in.

When we’re home, we enjoy eating dinner together, talking about our days, laughing and listening to music.

We are very positive and kind people, and always see the best in everyone; even if we don’t share the same views as some people we try to understand and respect their feelings.

Acceptance is a big part of who we are. We believe that people should be allowed to be who they are, love who they want and live the lives they want as long as they don’t hurt anyone else, and we’ll raise our child with those same values.

One of our favorite things about living in Los Angeles is how diverse it is and we take advantage of all of it - the different cultures, lifestyles, people, and things to do! We go to museums, outdoor concerts, food festivals, farmers markets, Disneyland, sports events - of course, and pretty much everything in between! We cannot wait to take our child with us everywhere, so they can experience the world around them, everything it has to offer, and what an amazing place it is.

I am a proud Los Angeles native and am so happy to call the city my home! I was fortunate to grow up with wonderful parents, who gave my brother, Brad, and me the confidence to know anything is possible. I love being a bonus mom to Robert’s boys! I am naturally energetic and love being outdoors, taking long walks with Robert and our pups, spending time at the beach where I find the sound of the water so calming, going to Trevor’s baseball games, and I am always up for a barbecue with friends. I also love indoor activities like Yoga, teaching and taking classes, exploring museums, cheering on Ryan at his basketball games, or heading out to an LA Kings hockey game.

For the past 20 years, I’ve worked as a Program Manager for some cool technology companies, and I get to work from home, so I’ll have the freedom and flexibility to be home to take care of the new baby. In my free time, I also enjoy being a mentor for high school and college students; I learn just as much from them as they do from me! I also love to teach yoga to toddlers and tweens.

The thing that always gets me about Paige is that her default setting is to help people. If someone is thriving, she wants to celebrate them. If someone is struggling, she wants to dig in and help them. If someone has less than her, she gives them whatever they might need. The way that she so effortlessly makes sure everyone is included and is made to feel special is one of her best traits. Paige’s overwhelming generosity and kindness shine through every moment. Having the incredible opportunity to care for, nurture, enrich, and raise a child not of her own body, and pour this immense amount of love and guidance into a child’s life is something she was born to do. She’s so enthusiastically and successfully taken on a role as a “bonus” mom to my own sons, I know how impactful it would be for her to have the opportunity to raise a child as our own, and how truly incredible she would make that child’s life.

Growing up in Los Angeles, I always enjoyed all of the incredible opportunities our city provides us with, such as the beaches, hiking in the mountains, great weather, entertainment, and professional sports teams. My younger sister, Cindy, and I grew up with our incredible single mother, Vicki, who never made us feel less loved despite only having one active parent raising us, and from an early age I knew being a father was the job I wanted most of all. I have always given everything my full commitment, which likely is why as an adult I’ve only had 2 jobs, my current one, as Senior Vice President - Group Director at an independent advertising agency, lasting over 23 years.

One day, in my free time, I will finally achieve my other dream job, celebrity chef! I love to cook for our family and friends in our home. What you can’t make out here is that I have a booming voice, matching my 6’5” frame and very extroverted personality. All of that goes into being the greatest cheerleader and leader-by-example for my boys and our future child I hope to soon raise with Paige.

Robert is the most incredible person I have ever met. His enthusiasm and warmth are part of everything he does, plus he is an amazing cook! Robert does everything with love and everyone who knows him can feel that love. When he tells a story everyone listens, even on our first date, the couple at the table next to us were laughing at the stories he was sharing. No matter where we are in the world, people are drawn to Robert, he just radiates happiness. Robert’s heart is also as big as he is tall. He’s curious about people, places, and things. When something interests Robert, he digs deep into it to learn as much as he can about whatever it is.

When I met Robert, I knew he was the person I was born to love and build a family with. I love to watch him with his boys. Whether it’s throwing baseballs, dunking basketballs, helping them with their homework, or sitting on the edge of their beds talking to them, the love Robert has for his boys is the driving force behind everything he does. I cannot wait to raise a child with him!

Ryan was born one quick minute before his brother Trevor. Currently 17, the 6’7” High School Senior, AP student, and Varsity Basketball player is preparing for life away at college very shortly as a college student-athlete. With interests in entrepreneurialism, business, and fashion and already running his own business, Ryan looks forward to the amazing opportunity to welcome and mentor a new brother or sister and help them realize their dreams.

Despite being the “baby brother,” Trevor’s life as a twin is anything but a replication of his “big” brother’s. He is an incredibly gifted Varsity Baseball player and Honors student, and he is headed to Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, where he’ll study Archeology and play on their baseball team. Trevor is kind and nurturing, and while he uses a booming voice on the baseball diamond, he’s incredibly soft-spoken for a barrel-chested, 6’2” lumberjack of a young man, who is guaranteed to dote on his future sibling and make sure their days are filled with fun.

Our blue house is on a beautiful tree-lined cul-de-sac in a suburb here in Los Angeles, California. Our neighborhood is very family-friendly, with quiet streets that are perfect for bike rides, dog walks and we dream of one day walking our future child to the local grammar school which is two blocks away and where Paige went to school. Holidays are equally as fun since we and our neighbors decorate our houses for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and every other holiday. We are also within walking distance of beautiful parks, libraries, and a great mall - there is always something to do nearby.

We have a wonderful bright and airy house, surrounded by trees, with a big backyard where we spend most of our time relaxing, playing mini-golf, ping-pong, or just swinging on our hammock, under two big palm trees. We have a big family room, with comfy couches and a brick fireplace, where we love to have family movie night and cuddle with the pups. Another fun feature of our house is the game room, where on any night you can find Robert and the boys playing one of our arcade games. We love our house so much and are looking forward to spending time reading and playing with our child as they grow up here.

Lucky for us we have an amazing group of close friends who live nearby, that we spend tons of time with. Robert’s fraternity brothers from college are always stopping by for dinner and Paige’s closest friends are minutes away, so there are always dinners, barbecues, and birthdays to celebrate together. Since we’ve known many of our friends for over 30 years their kids are also a big part of our lives - which is so special to us, especially Paige since she’s been like an ‘aunt’ to her friends’ kids since they were born.

Adoption is also a big part of our lives as Paige’s best friend Julee was adopted as was her friend Kimberly’s daughter Cleo, who she mentors. We’ve learned so much about the journey of an adopted child from them so we know they’ll be important allies for our child and us.

Our families are also a big part of our lives, all of them living either nearby or only a few hours away, so grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins will be a big part of our child’s life. Whether getting together for holidays, birthdays, or team celebrations, our lives are filled with fantastic friends and family, and since we love to entertain there will always be lots of Robert’s delicious Mac and Cheese to share!

When Paige adopted Hugo almost 10 years ago it was truly love at first walk, and they have been constant companions ever since! Small in size but big in personality, Hugo is definitely the boss of the house, keeping everyone, especially Louie in line and protected. When he’s not busy ruling the house, Hugo loves long walks, going on shopping trips to Target, playing with other dogs, snuggling on the couch with Robert, and napping on Paige’s lap whenever she gets a manicure/pedicure.

Louie is our big bundle of love. We adopted Louie almost two years ago and we fall more in love with him every day! Most days you can find Louie napping on the couch, cozied up to his ‘big brother’ Hugo, while Paige works nearby. When he’s not sleeping our playful guy loves to be in the backyard playing catch with Ryan and Trevor, running in circles trying to catch his tail, or following Hugo wherever he goes. Louie loves kisses, hugs, and play, so we know he’s going to be the perfect companion to grow up alongside our future child.

Paige- As a mom, I promise to always love and support your child. I will honor their birth parents, support their dreams, interests, and aspirations. I will show them everything good about the world and help them to become the unique person they are meant to be. I will give the best hugs, listen to them, cheer on their successes, and comfort them through their challenges. I will encourage them, and always make them feel safe so they never question my love for them. They will always know that wherever they go in life, whatever they do, we will ALWAYS be here for them.

Robert- I promise to share the story of how they became our child, so they know how much we wanted them and how grateful we are to their birth parents that we were chosen to be the parents to raise them. We’ll celebrate their being adopted and how special that is, and we’ll educate them on their background so they never question who they are.
