Dear Birth Mother...
Why Adoption, by Gina
Proving that family and love run deeper than blood, Edgar has become an incredible father to my two children. And although we are unable to have biological children of our own, we are so excited to grow our family together through adoption.
Our Story
We met at work 5 years ago. We started out as co-workers and then friends. But the entire time Edgar was leaving a figurative trail of breadcrumbs to let me know he was interested. After six months, I finally found and followed the breadcrumbs. We learned a lot about each other in a short amount of time. We realized that our hopes, dreams, morals, and family values are the same. Since entering each other’s lives, we have accomplished so many of our goals such as building a house and starting new careers. We compliment and motivate each other greatly. Although the world was suffering in 2020, we found a way to use that time to make our relationship and family stronger, proving we can get through anything together.
Meet Gina, by Gina
I was born in Southern California. I loved it there because there was always something to do. We were a low income family of 6. My parents divorced when I was young, which taught me great strength. I loved sharing rooms with my siblings. It created an unbelievable bond that we all still share. My family taught me to be grateful for everything you receive and understand money is not everything. I moved to Arizona when I was 21 years old. I knew that in order to provide for a family I needed to live somewhere the cost of living was not so high. Plus I love the heat! I have worked in a leadership role for over 22 years. Today I’m a Vice President for a call center with locations in Colombia and India. I love working with and learning from different cultures.
As a Mom, by Gina
I’ve always loved children. I’m a very hands-on mom who loves to just watch her kids grow, let them pick their own path and provide advice, support them in sports, art, music or whatever else they are interested in. Be at every rehearsal, concert, practice or competition. I’m so excited to have that busy mom life again!
More About Gina, by Edgar
I met my wife at work where she won me over with her smile and genuine laugh. She has so much potential and can do anything she puts her mind to, and I am always there to encourage her. Fun fact: I’d never seen the movie “The Notebook” but I finally watched it with my wife. I basically was watching myself on the screen. Everything I’ve said was just the same in the movie. Gina cried as she confessed this is why she fell in love with me. Life is unpredictable, to say the least, but I know with Gina by my side we can face any obstacle together and watch our dreams become a reality. I’m blessed to have Gina in my life and be able to always be myself around her. She makes me stronger and pushes me to get better in my career and as a parent.

Meet Edgar, by Edgar
I was born in Nogales, Arizona and was raised my whole life in Phoenix, Arizona. My parents, older brother and younger sister all had a positive impact in creating who I am today. They provided such incredible guidance as I was growing up and I plan on being the same positive role model as a parent. Knowing the pros and cons of decisions we make. I learned to own it and learn from it. I’ve always had a competitive spirit and know whether it’s gaming, sports, or life in general, sportsmanship and a good attitude can create positive relationships. I love to dance, listen to music, anime, video games, cosplay, sports, and my culture within my family. My life is simple. I can live off of rice, beans, and home-made salsa. I appreciated the little things about my family growing up, at times I would be tired of eating the same thing, but now it brings back treasured memories.
For Work, by Edgar
I currently work for a company where I travel to 12 different regions of states with their inventory. The great thing about my work is I only go into the office two days a week which gives me more time to spend with my family.
More About Edgar, by Gina
Edgar is a very genuine person. I’ve never met someone that is so outgoing. He can talk to anyone and make them just fall in love with him. He’s very caring for everyone. From the first moment he meets you, you are family. He has the BEST sense of humor. He always makes me laugh and is goofy. That is my favorite thing about him. No matter how I’m feeling he always finds a way to make me smile. He is my biggest supporter and is always encouraging me to be my best self. He’s so grateful for everything. I can cook the simplest dish and in his words it’s “Top 3” on his list. From day one my kids were his kids. He loves them as his own and respects them for who they are. He loves to dance and enjoys all kinds of music, which connected us right away. He’s also an amazing artist even if he never fully finishes his projects!

Future Big Brother & Sister
Juliet recently graduated from high school and has already accomplished so much. While in high school she worked two jobs and received a degree in Cosmetology. She is an amazing role model and a positive light. She has a creative mind and loves all kinds of art, including cross-stitching. She’s most looking forward to helping with homework and reading to her future younger sibling.
Trenton, although taller than Juliet is the younger sibling! He has a great technical mind and loves to play video games. He has a kind heart and is always happy to listen. Trenton cannot wait to be a “big brother”, building Legos and playing with stuffed animals with his future younger sibling.
Home & Community
Living in Arizona the weather is perfect all year round, which is great for all recreational activities. The summers may be warm, but we enjoy plenty of indoor activities as well, such as movies and bowling. The low cost of living makes it an ideal place to raise a family and eventually retire. On weekdays we are always at home. Home cooked meals are made every night and we sit down as a family. It’s important that even when life is busy that we make some time to gather together. In 2022 we built our first home together. Our home is located in the number one school district in Arizona. We know how important it is to equip our kids with the tools to be successful and believe a well-rounded education (paired with real life experiences) is key.
We love the holidays! Our house is always decked out for Halloween and Christmas. Traditions are important to have to create consistency in our children’s lives. They’ll always have something to look forward to.
Our Family Traditions
- Annual family vacation
- Choice of a present or trip for birthdays
- Annual Easter Day Egg Hunt
- Watching and playing football, basketball and soccer as a family
- Visiting a pumpkin patch and carving pumpkins for Halloween
- Dressing up asa family, including the dogs, for Trick or Treating
- Opening one present on Christmas Eve and watching movies in pjs while we drink hot cocoa
- Making tamales as a family for Christmas
- Decorating the house inside and out for all holidays
Meet Our Pets
Our pets are an important part of our family. Hailey is a 9-year-old Shih Tzu and weighs only 10 lbs. She loves going on car rides to California with the family. She is open to snuggle with anyone that will let her. Maleficent is a 100 lbs. Cane Corso. She is just growing out of her puppy stage and turning 3 years old. She loves to go on walks, play fetch, and chew on bones. Both of our dogs we’ve had since they were puppies and are trained.
Our Loved Ones
We both have traditional large Hispanic families. Edgar is the middle child of 3. Gina is the 2nd to the youngest of 5. Almost all of our parents and siblings are located in Arizona. The majority of the rest of our extended family members are located in Mexico, California and Texas. It gives us a nice excuse to go on vacation and visit them all. Both sides of the family love listening to music, dancing, playing games and having home cooked meals together. The thing we love most about our families is when we get together, we can talk for hours.
Everyone is so excited to welcome our future child into their life. We both have friends that have been in our life since grade school. They’ll be additional aunts and uncles ready to spoil our future child!
We Promise...
- To provide a loving and safe home for your child
- To speak of you only in the highest regard
- To ensure your child knows you love them
- To make birthdays and holidays always a family celebration
- To always have trust and open communication
- To provide a positive outlook on life, that is filled daily with laughter
- To always listen and give advice no matter what the situation is
Our Values
As parents, we have many values and hope to teach our future child the following...
- Family is important in our lives and we should always cherish the time we have with them
- Everything happens for a reason. It is all part of God’s plan. Love and accept everyone equally, no matter what
- Money, trends or name brands aren’t important
- We will teach our future child to be who they are and always love themselves
- Life isn’t perfect, there are no guarantees, but we will always be here to support and help them with whatever challenges they face
- We will teach our future child to advocate for themselves by modeling their own boundaries
