Hello! We are Alan & Geetha from Boston, Massachusetts. We are so grateful to you for taking the time to learn about us. We hope you are able to see the joy, love, fun and adventure that awaits your child. We are thinking about you as you embark on this courageous and difficult decision. We are honored you are considering us and we hope to walk this journey with you. No matter what you choose, you are brave, strong, and will make the right decision for your child. We are holding you in our hearts.
Dear Birth Mother...
Our Story
“When you know, you know.” These were the words Alan's mother would say to him and by our 3rd date that saying rang true. Shortly after this infamous date, we planned a romantic getaway to Paris and it was there that we realized we had found "our person" to share life's journey with.
We're both fortunate to have professions we are deeply passionate about that make a difference in the lives of others. This is balanced by our love of travel, experiencing new adventures, and spending time with family and friends.
Why Adoption
We always felt adoption was a beautiful way to create a family. Our philosophy has always been that a family is what you create based on love, kindness and support. We went through several rounds of IVF and after many years of trying, we decided to end treatment and pursue adoption. Our niece is adopted, so it was a natural transition for us and our extended family. We are so excited to be on this path and to open our home and hearts to a child through adoption.
Meet Alan, by Alan
I am a true "Northern English Lad". I was born and raised in England, where I spent most of my childhood by coastal beaches and running through the woodlands. After getting my Ph.D in Chemistry, I moved to the United States and landed in Kansas (Go Jay-Hawks) for further training. I then moved to Boston for a career in pharmaceuticals where I work with a team to discover and create the next generation of cancer drugs.
My love of sports and staying active is an important part of my life. Throughout the week, you will find me playing football (or soccer as it’s known in the United States!), strength training in the gym, and learning new boxing techniques.
There is so much I am looking forward to about becoming a parent. I am especially looking forward to sharing my fondest memory of my childhood: morning walks by the lake followed by a stop at the bakery for a treat or two (I have a sweet tooth).
Geetha’s Thoughts on Alan
There is not a day that goes by where I don't thank God for bringing us together. The qualities that make Alan a wonderful spouse are also what will make him a terrific father. He is genuinely open-minded and optimistic to everyone despite their life circumstances and differences. This ability to embrace people brings out the best in those around him. Also, his hugs are pure magic which have this amazing power to melt worries and instantly make you feel better. In addition, I am constantly inspired by his work ethic as he rises at 5 am without once hitting the snooze button! Although he is very disciplined, Alan's playfulness is my favorite quality. Whether it's telling a silly dad joke or doing a funny prank it's hard not to be smiling around him. The British accent doesn't hurt either.
Alan's Fun Facts
- I am all about the weekend brunches with friends or family
- I still think Disney World is the most magical place in the world
- I have dipped my toes in the four oceans of the world
- I enjoy playing football (soccer)
- Every Christmas I keep up the tradition of making sweet mince pies
- I will never turn down a slice of cake or sweet pastry
Meet Geetha, by Geetha
I grew up in a small town in Michigan to immigrant parents who came from India with the determination to create opportunity for their children. Growing up as a minority led me to embrace diversity and our individual uniqueness. This inspired me to study abroad and travel around the world meeting people from various cultures.
After a close family member lost their vision at an early age, I was deeply inspired to help those suffering from vision loss. After college I went to Medical school to become an eye doctor. Each day, I have the honor of helping others who went through what my family member did and offer them hope and the possibility of recovering sight. Working with my patients so closely brings me immense joy and fulfillment.
I live my life with gratitude, love and faith. I can't wait to share in the joys, adventures, and wonders of life with our future child.
Alan’s Thoughts on Geetha
Geetha is loving, compassionate, and unselfish to a fault. Geetha has a huge heart and it is one of the many things I fell in love with. She is full of positive energy and is playful and funny. You often find her singing away to herself while cooking or doing tasks around the house. She is unwavering in her support of family and friends and always does the right thing even when it may be hard. I love that Geetha is part of a large multi-cultural family. She always makes time to catch up with family by zoom or often hosting gatherings at our house. She loves to treat others to new recipes she finds.
Geetha is an amazing wife and I know she is going to make one fierce, loving, and wonderful mother.

Hobbies & Interests
We are passionate about seeing the world. While traveling, Alan is sure to find some adventure no matter where we go: whether it's the jungles of Puerto Rico or the sand dunes of Dubai.
Geetha seeks out the tastiest local cuisines and most picturesque locations. For us, one of the best parts of travel is the friendships formed from people around the world allowing us to experience the beauty of different cultures.
We can't wait to introduce our future child to our countries of origin, from the vibrant colors and spicy flavors of India to the lush fields and countryside of England.
Our mutual love of cooking and Alan's British heritage has led to our ritual of binge watching the "Great British Baking show" every Friday night. This is followed by our attempts at making "signature dishes" combining our two cultures. We enjoy hosting friends and family which always leads to competitive rounds of Jenga.
We love nature. Our favorite weekend traditions include long walks by the lake followed by watching the waves at the beach and trying to spot a nesting hawk.
Our Home
We are close to the vibrant city of Boston which is known for its great academic institutions, hospitals, culture, and sports. Our home is in a family friendly neighborhood by a beautiful lake that is surrounded by woods. It is ideal for exploring nature and spending a day on the sandy beach soaking up the sun. We can't wait to explore the numerous playgrounds around us. Alan has already tested several slides and swings.
We feel fortunate that our home is large and spacious with lots of indoor light. It has a big kitchen, which is great for our cooking adventures and entertaining. We also love the many cozy nooks that are ideal for reading a book and snuggling up with a cup of hot cocoa. We have a nice outdoor space which is often the gathering spot on summer nights and a garden area to pick fresh vegetables. We have already picked out the perfect spot for a swing set!
We are grateful to live in a diverse area that is inclusive and celebrates people of different races and cultures and has a welcoming community vibe.
Family & Friends
Our families are very different but beautiful and unique in their own way. Geetha has a very large and diverse extended family that live around the world and come from different ethnic backgrounds. Family gatherings are often loud, with constant eating and never ending good-byes.
Alan's family is much calmer with intimate conversations that always include a cup of tea and a biscuit. Although Alan's nephews and niece are in England, we are always up to date on their latest craze which is currently Paw Patrol. Geetha's sister, who lives close by, recently adopted a little girl who can't wait to have a cousin to play with.
We know it takes a village to raise a child, therefore we are so fortunate to have a strong group of friends who live near us. With both friends and family, we are surrounded by love and community.
We Promise…
- To love your child unconditionally, and never let them go a day without hugs, kisses and knowing how much they are treasured
- To create a loving, supportive, and stable home, filled with laughter and understanding
- To provide a nurturing and enriching environment that cultivates creativity and curiosity
- To encourage them to follow their dreams and interests limited only by boundaries of their imagination
- To have opportunities to travel the world so they experience the beauty of diversity and interconnectedness of humanity
- To show them it’s ok to make mistakes and to take heartfelt risks
- To show them the power of faith and to trust in the mysterious unfolding of life while helping them navigate the unknown with grace and resilience
- To honor you. We will always speak about you with respect, appreciation, and love. And if it is your wish, we promise to remain connected through pictures and open communication.
