Hello! I’m Seetal from Southern California! Thank you for looking at my profile! As you make this strong and courageous choice for your child, I am very grateful to share about myself. I am adopting as a single mom and hope to engage in an open adoption to maintain a mutually supportive relationship, if you are also open to future connection. I cannot imagine the weight of this decision for you, and I feel very blessed and humbled to have this opportunity to be a part of your future.
Dear Birth Mother...
My Thoughts on Adoption
I strongly desire to be a parent, and while I have been fortunate to have an education and successful career, there has always been a deeper desire of my heart that longs to be fulfilled - that of being with my future family. I am a successful professional whose number one dream has been to be a parent. I have tried with IVF to have a biological child, and while unsuccessful, my journey taught me that I am very resilient and will not give up on my path to becoming a mother. I have always felt that adoption was a potential path for me, and I am excited and eager to take these steps forward. Though I am a little older, I have had my turn, and hope to take the wisdom of life’s experiences and growth of my heart to help mentor and support a little being to reach all of their dreams in this world.
I am excited to begin the journey to parenthood as a single mother! I have a very strong support system, with many dear family friends in Florida, Boston, New York, Atlanta, California, Singapore and Australia! I have created a great work-life balance; while I enjoy my career, I work only four days a week and make sure to take time to unwind at home, play with my dog, enjoy sunsets at the beach, and laugh with my family friends. I keep a very healthy lifestyle, cooking at home and keeping physically active. I look forward to filling my free time with caring for a child at home.
More About Me
I am passionate about my work, where I combine both Western and Eastern medicine, working as an anesthesiologist and acupuncturist to help people heal from acute and chronic pain conditions. I also teach yoga and meditation classes.
I work at the local hospital, and also have a private practice for holistic medicine. I enjoy serving at for the local free clinic, and I volunteer internationally to give anesthesia and pain management in El Salvador and India.

What I Do For Fun
- I love to travel within the states and internationally
- I also enjoy cooking with spices, painting with watercolor, and photographing sunsets
- I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, swimming, and biking. Visiting the beaches of California at golden hour in the evenings is my favorite place to be.
- I have a ten pound mixed terrier named Lulu who loves to join me on many adventures (she even goes in a back-pack and rides on the bike with me!).
- I have a community garden, where I have learned to grow fresh vegetables and herbs to cook with
- Above all, I enjoy connecting with my loved ones, whether in person or for hours on the phone. I talk daily or weekly to my soul sisters, and visit weekly with my local loved ones, and those distant one to two times a year.
- I look forward to my future child meeting all of my family and friends, and seeing all the wonders of the world together
- My spirituality comes from my Indian faith of Sikhism and Buddhist teachings, and I keep many traditions from Indian culture, including eating yummy food and dancing to Bhangra music.
- I also enjoy partaking in many other cultural traditions, including attending friends’ church gatherings at the Christmas or Easter holidays, and attending the Bar Mitzvah of my godson.
My Home and Community
I was born in upstate New York from an Indian family, and then lived in Florida, New York City and Boston before moving to California. I live in a quiet neighborhood near a large metropolitan city in Southern Cali, with lots of kids and playgrounds, museums, farmers markets, and schools within walking distance. My neighbors are very friendly and the community is very connected - at Halloween, we have almost two hundred kids come to the door! Families enjoy the community pool year round. Music concerts or outdoor movies with family picnics are ongoing weekly. I am minutes from the beach, and can visit the mountains in the same day too! We can indulge in many ethnic cuisines from around the world, and enjoy live salsa music or an Indian dance class.
Meet Lulu
Lulu is my partner in crime, coming with me everywhere. She enjoys treats from kiddos, and is a very calm and gentle soul. She cannot wait to meet her human sibling!
Values and Lessons I Will Teach Your Child
- Spirit of adventure - enjoy all the beauties of the world and learn about diverse cultures
- Cultivate a safe home full of love
- Compassion and kindness are the foundations for all relationships, including our own selves
Meet My Family
I have a large community village of family friends and chosen tribe, close by and around the world, who are very excited to meet the future child coming into this home. They are very excited to meet the future kiddo who will be the future sister, cousin, niece and nephew to their families. I am “Aunty” to many of their children, and have enjoyed seeing them grow from babies to budding teenagers. Many of my close friends have been through adoption as well, and are so excited to meet the future child coming to grow our tribe. We look forward to creating a strong, supportive, community with like-minded values and parenting styles, exposure to diversity, and homes full of unconditional love. I am very blessed to have so much support and advice, and have been told many times, “Don’t hesitate to call any time at 2 am for anything!” We envision yearly trips for family reunions, and taking the children on adventures to see many natural wonders, enjoy the mountains and sea, and celebrate birthdays and holidays.
