Warm greetings! We are Alexis & Andrew and we are so excited to grow our family through adoption. Thank you for taking time to read our story and learn more about us. As part of our family, your child will be cherished and supported by two adoring parents, a loving big brother, a wonderful extended family, two sweet puppies, and a strong circle of friends.

We're so happy to have each other, and there's no one else we would rather spend time with. We grew up just a few miles apart in the same town (we even went to the same summer camp), but we only met online 20 years later! Our marriage is based on shared values; it feels like there’s no problem we can’t overcome when we work together.

We aren’t able to have biological children, so two years ago we adopted our son, Nico. We’ve always dreamed of having two children to complete our family. The three of us would love and treasure your child with all our hearts.

My greatest joy has been sharing life with Andrew. Andrew is kind, loving, and always strives to be a better version of himself. There doesn’t seem to be a single subject that doesn’t interest him, and he excels at making friends, fixing things, playing music and sports, dancing, public speaking, and so much more.

Andrew is an incredible father. He’s playful, patient, and involved in every facet of Nico’s life – playing with stuffed animals on the floor, taking him to the nearby playgrounds, or making a bottle in the middle of the night.

He’s great with children, and seems to have a natural ability to connect with each child based on their unique interests and personality. He’s very excited to welcome another child to our family.

Alexis lives her life fearlessly and with incredible passion. She constantly makes big, principled choices and doesn’t look back — like going back to school to finish her degree, taking months off work to care for her sick mother, and changing careers to have a greater positive impact on the world. I love that her heart is so open, particularly for kids and animals. She puts 100% into everything she does, from gardening to planning our next travel adventure.

I’m so grateful for Alexis. She’s my best friend and the person whose opinion I value the most. She makes me laugh, makes me think, and supports me in everything I do.

Alexis is an amazing mother, and she can't wait to share her kindness, playfulness, and love with another child.

We live in an amazing place for a child to grow up. We own our home in a quiet neighborhood in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our kids will have their own bedroom, plenty of space to play, and puppies who adore them. Finally, our cozy home office lets us both work from home while raising a family.

Our rescue puppies Huxley and Ramona (brother and sister) are sweet, polite, and full of energy. The only things they love more than children are treats and peanut butter!

We have one adopted son named Nicolai (but we call him Nico). He’s almost 2 years old, exceedingly energetic, sweet and gentle. He loves other children, and we’re so excited for him to be a big brother.

We are so fortunate that all our close family members live nearby, along with a terrific group of long-time friends (many with their own kids).

Andrew’s parents are both retired teachers who love traveling and hosting events for friends and family. His sister is a professional writer and a devoted aunt.

Alexis’ grandfather and sister live just a short drive away. We love spending time with her sons (our nephews) at their baseball games, birthday parties, and family dinners.

We are excited to pass along our family traditions to our children: Celebrating holidays with the family (like presents and brunch on Xmas morning), duets on the piano, singing on road trips, volunteering, and spontaneous living room dancing.

But above all, we encourage our children to be curious about the world around them and to follow their own unique passions!
