Hi! We are Evan and Jenn from Dallas, Texas. We adopted our daughter, Porter in 2021. We are so excited to have the opportunity to grow our family through adoption again. We love to travel, go camping, spend time with our family and friends and enjoy quality time together. We look forward to adding another little one to join in our family adventures.

We think the best gift you can give a child—other than a safe, stable, loving and warm environment—is a sibling! We both grew up with siblings and we know Porter and any future children we welcome into our family will benefit greatly from having a sibling. We have chosen adoption to grow our family because it has always held a special place in our hearts. Jenn knew at a young age that she wouldn't be able to have children. We knew this was God's plan all along. Porter has brought such joy to our lives and the lives of everyone around us. We know the next blessing will do the same and we are so excited to open our family, lives and home to another baby.

We met through mutual friends who had been trying to set us up for months. Our friends knew we needed each other long before we had ever met. Fast forward 9 years, here we are! Evan is self employed so his schedule is super flexible. Jenn left a teaching career of 10 years to stay at home with Porter once she came into our lives. We have a beautiful home with a spacious backyard and a huge play set that Porter calls her "Treehouse". We enjoy cooking out on the patio while enjoying the backyard with our two Labradors. Our Yorkie is an "old man" as we call him and he enjoys resting under the shade tree. We have lots of very close neighbors and Jenn's parents are here in the neighborhood. We love being able to pop over there any time we want.

I grew up in Dallas, Texas with my mom, dad, and two sisters. Growing up, I was obsessed with playing school and often used my sisters as students. I had a very lively childhood between dance, soccer, and babysitting for neighbors, family, and friends. These hobbies would lead me to obtaining a teaching degree and becoming a Fourth grade teacher. Having taught for ten years, my passion for children just continues to grow. My hobbies now include home renovations, traveling, and relaxing with the family. We love sharing our travels with family and friends, seeing new places and trying new things. We can’t wait to include another little one on our adventures. Being a classroom teacher and having been raised with a stay at home mom, I have seen first-hand how beneficial that can be. I am very excited and fortunate to be able to stay home with our children. I can't wait to join the school field trips and become active in the PTA.

Jenn is a beautiful, caring, and strong woman who is outstanding with kids. Jenn is incredibly driven and has a true passion for children. Her heart for others cannot be matched and she is an incredible mother. Jenn has a way of making everyone feel welcome in our home and I know our future child will know just how much they are loved. Watching Jenn play with Porter is so fun. Jenn teaches Porter different things like letters and shapes to songs and basic household skills. The two of them throw a mean living room dance party! Jenn's love for clothing and fashion is already carrying over to Porter and it is so exciting to see Porter take that on. Porter looks up to Jenn so much and seeing that, is a reminder of just the amazing woman that Jenn is. Porter and I are beyond lucky to have her as the rock of our family.

I grew up outside of Dallas, Texas with my younger brother, mom and dad. Growing up, I enjoyed riding my bike, hanging out with friends, and playing outside. I remember riding my bike around the neighborhood collecting materials to build a backyard fort that remained an ongoing project throughout my childhood. This fond childhood pastime later turned into starting and growing my own construction company. I have worked hard to build my company and take great pride in my business, building and remodeling homes. I have poured hours into my business during the first several years of owning it so that when it comes time for a family, I can be present. I look forward to coaching their little league team or watching their dance recital, teaching them the tricks of my trade and being present for every possible moment. As the owner of my company, I have a very flexible schedule which allows me to attend school programs and take vacations.

Evan is quiet, compassionate, observant, and caring. Evan is a guys’ guy as well as my guy! Evan is my biggest cheerleader and my rock 100% of the time. Evan is the hardest working person I know and gives 110% in everything he does. Being able to watch him transition from a boyfriend, to a fiance and a husband to now being a Dad, has been such a pleasure. I am so fortunate to have a front row seat to his growth. Evan is a great mix of fun, safe, stable and silly. Watching him let Porter paint his nails or do his hair and make up truly warms my heart. Evan is great with Porter and all kids. "Uncle Evan" is by far our niece and nephew's favorite guy! I feel so lucky to have a partner who chooses us and is supportive of Porter and I. Any future children will hit the jackpot with Evan as a Dad.

Porter came into our lives through adoption in 2021. Porter has yet to meet a stranger and talks to everyone she meets. She enjoys playing with friends of any age and has the best imagination. Watching her grow has been a true joy and pleasure for us both. Porter will make an incredible older sister as she is so nurturing, kind, funny and attentive. Her Preschool teachers always tell us how great of a friend she is to the other students in her class.

We live just outside Dallas, Texas. Our neighborhood boasts large established trees, perfect for tree swings. We are in a cul-de-sac with wonderful neighbors who just absolutely adore Porter. Porter loves visiting them and collecting their mail for them when they leave town. We have a golf course in our neighborhood as well. One of Porter's favorite things to do is run around on the greens when the course is closed. We often take the golf cart up to the club house for Friday evening dinners or Saturday morning breakfast tacos. We have a few ponds in the neighborhood where we enjoy feeding the turtles and fish. Porter has her own bedroom, and new baby will as well. Porter is so excited to share her playroom toys and to show the new baby all of her things. Our school system is fabulous. We also have the district's best elementary school here in the neighborhood too, so that's a HUGE plus! Jenn's parents live here in the neighborhood which is so wonderful. "Happy & Papa" love being able to pop over for dinner and look forward to taking the grandkids to school in the future.

We have two black labs, Piper & Maggi and one Yorkie, Bubba in our family. Our Yorkie is the old man of the crew and is just the sweetest little guy ever. All three of the dogs are so gentle with Porter and other kids. They will be so excited to have another little one to play with them.

Our families have been the backbone to our lives. We celebrate holidays and birthdays together and that is such a blessing to us all. Porter has two cousins, from Jenn's older sister and brother in law. When the three kids get together, it is absolute chaos and just the best thing ever! Christmas time is a family favorite just having the opportunity to see it through their eyes.

Porter and her cousins just light up our lives. We are also fortunate to know several other families that have been built on adoption. We are blessed to be able to give our child/ren friends that share a family dynamic that is similar to ours. We have people in our lives that have become more like family as we have known them since childhood. It is so wonderful to be able to raise children together with people we have known since we were children ourselves. We have so many friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors who are excited and cheering us on through this process of growing our family again.

Our greatest joy will be knowing and rejoicing in who our child is. We want them to grow, thrive and dream BIG. We promise to love them unconditionally and in turn help them to love others the same. Some of our priorities as a family will include eating dinner together every night, reading books before bedtime, and fostering a love of learning. We have an immense amount of support from so many of our loved ones and we know your child will be loved, supported and cherished.
