Our journey has not been easy either but it's been worth every minute. We hope to make a connection with you and want you to know the opportunity to be your child's adoptive parents will be one of the most sacred and beautiful experiences of our lives.
Dear Birth Mother
Why Adoption
Since we met we shared our dreams of having children together. Scott has always wanted a big family and Meg has dreamed of being a mom for as long as she can remember. While we aren't able to have biological children together, we dreamed of building a family through adoption, so it was a dream come true when we adopted our son, Wyatt, at birth. We also share two daughters, Evie and Eleanor from Scott's marriage to his first wife who sadly passed away from cancer when the girls were young. We have so much love to give and can't wait to welcome another child into our home. Adoption has always been something really close to Meg's heart as her nephew is also adopted. Continuing to build a family together remains our greatest goal!!
Our Story
Life is unpredictable and full of unexpected turns and our love story and path to becoming a family is no different. We met on a dating app in Nashville when Meg was visiting her sister. We instantly hit it off after realizing Meg grew up in the same town that Scott went to college in! Our first date was over lunch and our connection was instant. Although we had just met, we felt we had known each other forever. We talked for hours and Scott shared how he lost his first wife and Evie and Eleanor's mom after her long battle with cancer. Meeting Meg was the best surprise of Scott's life and she is the biggest blessing to our children. Meg never expected to find someone as amazing as Scott and he never dreamed of getting a second chance at love. As a family, we have a lot of fun together, never take anything for granted and live every day to the fullest! We are constantly making each other laugh and share a silly sense of humor that keeps us smiling. We love going on adventures, whether it’s bike rides through the park, taking Wyatt to the playground, teaching the girls to surf or traveling across the world to experience new cultures.
Hello, I'm Meg
I consider myself fun and adventurous. I love making people laugh, trying new things, traveling to far away places and meeting new people. My siblings and I are close in age and we consider each other best friends. I love spicy food and scary movies, Scott usually runs out of the room. I pride myself on being kind and always looking out for others. I find the beauty in people and in life. I've been fortunate to have an incredible career and I've accomplished so much in my life but my greatest joy is being a mom. I absolutely love being a mom and I cannot wait to welcome another child into our lives, they will be my pride and joy and surrounded by endless love!

Hi, I'm Scott
I consider myself a pretty laid back guy. I'm passionate about my family and staying active. I'm a Nashville native and have been in the area my whole life. I love mountain biking and skiing. I never knew travel could be so much fun until Meg came into my life and we started taking epic adventures around the world. We love visiting new places and trying new foods. I also love a night at home listening to music and making crazy pizza flavors with Meg and the kids. I work for a fast growing company and I love what I do but my proudest accomplishment and number one role is dad. I've had tremendous heartache from the death of my first wife but it has made me a more empathetic person which makes me a better dad. I'm so excited to raise another child with Meg, become a father again and grow our family. I consider myself lucky to have such a great life and have so much more love to give.
Scott's Career
Scott is the CEO of an insurance company based in Nashville. He works closely with his father and brother every day and they are excited to continue to build their company. Having a family business allows Scott to spend a lot of time with Meg and the kids, and be at home once the new baby arrives.

Scott is my favorite person, the love of my life and the man of my dreams. Watching him become a father again and building our family would be my dream come true.

- His favorite thing to do with Wyatt is swim in the pool and make him laugh!
Our Hobbies
As a family, there is nowhere we would rather be than in nature! Some of our favorite things to do are watch our dog, Truffles, dig holes on the beach, lay in the grass and gaze at the stars and talk about what it would be like to visit another planet! We have built our life around giving our children life experiences. We love traveling to new places so the kids can learn about other cultures, try new foods and appreciate other traditions. We have some amazing hiking and mountain biking trails in Tennessee and we visit them often. We take an epic ski trip once a year— the girls love snow and we are excited to get Wyatt on skis! We lead a very active and healthy lifestyle. We cannot wait to share all our love for the outdoors with another child and take them on exciting adventures!
Our Home
We love our home in Nashville, Tennessee! Meg has recently redecorated and it's so cool. As much as we love to travel, home is where our heart is. Every time our niece comes over she asks if she can move in because our house is "so happy, so colorful and smells so good!". We have a fenced in yard with plenty of space for kids to play. We are walking distance to playgrounds, parks, a nursery school, elementary and high school. Several other young families with children live in our neighborhood—one of our friends lives next door with their adoptive daughter. We are also ten minutes from Downtown Nashville, which is famous for its music, restaurants, and concerts. Our home is filled with love and laughter. We adore our city, our home and community!
Introducing Our Kids
Evie is 17 and has her license! She loves baking, shopping and babysitting all the kids in the neighborhood. Her favorite TV shows are Grey’s Anatomy and Gossip Girl. Her favorite place is the beach and she recently learned how to scuba dive in the Caribbean! She never gets sick of Mexican food. She is the coolest big sister and when we told her we were going to adopt again she screamed "I'm so excited, I can't wait for another sister or brother!"
Eleanor is 16 and a sophomore in high school. She loves sports—especially soccer, running and pole vault. She is a loyal friend to everyone. She loves to bake with her sister and dance to music with her little brother. She would eat pepperoni pizza every day if she could. This summer she is traveling out of the country to go hiking. She is most excited about introducing her new sibling to their 15 cousins!
Wyatt is so happy, snuggly, funny and the sweetest boy who joined our family through adoption. He was born in Texas and has been with us his whole life. He loves pulling on our Truffles hair, listening to music, jumping and swimming in the pool. Wyatt will be the most amazing big brother! Scott and Meg both grew up close in age to their siblings and can't wait to give Wyatt a best friend and sibling close in age!
Family & Friends
Family is and has always been the most important thing in our lives. We are fortunate to have been raised by parents who instilled in us the same core values of respect, kindness, honesty and empathy. Between our two families, we have 12 nephews and 3 nieces that will not only be family but best friends for our child. We are both so close to our families, Scott’s family lives 5 minutes down the street while Meg’s sisters are only a few hours away. Both sets of grandparents are amazing and present in each of their grandkid's lives. Scott’s mom loves taking the kids shopping while his dad loves telling stories and teaching the kids all about history. Meg’s mom enjoys taking the kids to the beach and to get huge bowls of ice cream. In addition to family, we have a huge network of friends that are like family to us. Several of them have children through adoption. We think it’s important for any child that has been adopted to have friends and family they can relate to as they get older.
Meet Truffles
Truffles is our two-year-old 16 pound Shih Tzu puppy that brings so much joy not only to us but to all that meet him! He is so cute and fluffy! He follows us all over the house, eats lots of treats, plays fetch, lays on the sofa, loves running on the beach and long walks in the neighborhood. He does not like being brushed or taking a bath. Above all, Truffles loves his family, especially the girls and Wyatt. He adores kids more than anything and is a loyal companion.
Christmas Traditions
- Christmas Eve at Scott's parents' house
- Family cookie decorating contest
- Christmas movie marathon the entire month of December
- Evie and Eleanor make homemade ornaments for all their cousins
- We eat popcorn and drink hot chocolate as we drive around our neighborhood looking at holiday lights and singing our favorite Christmas songs
Our Thoughts on Parenting
As parents, we want to raise children that are kind, happy, confident and empathetic through providing a stable, loving and supportive home with all the opportunities for our children to be themselves and explore their interests and passions. We will always be open and honest with our children, letting them know they can count on us for anything and that we will always love them unconditionally. We will begin every day and end every night by telling them how grateful we are for them and much we love them!
Values We Will Teach Your Child
- Unconditional love
- Kindness
- Empathy
- Compassion
- Humor
- Respect
- Be true to yourself
- ... and that life is short, enjoy the journey
