Hello! We are Negar and Fernando from Lake Balboa, Los Angeles, CA. We are so grateful that you are taking the time to learn more about us. We love traveling, spending time with animals, and cherishing the moments we share with our family and friends. It has always been our dream to build a family, and we both deeply desire the joy of raising a child. Though we couldn’t have one on our own biologically, our hearts are open, and we are so excited to welcome your child into our lives as our own. Though we couldn’t have a child biologically, adoption has always been something we’ve talked about and now fully embrace. We are filled with love and compassion and have longed to share that with a child as part of our family. We feel that our lives are missing an important piece, and that piece is the joy and love that comes with raising a child. We are incredibly excited to be on this adoption journey and can't wait to welcome a little one into our hearts and home.

We met through my brother, Arian, who introduced us because Fernando knew how to swing dance, and I really wanted to learn. Those evenings filled with dance lessons and late-night conversations brought us closer together, and over time, our friendship blossomed into a loving relationship. We've now been together for over 10 years, sharing both incredible adventures and some of life's biggest challenges. What keeps us strong is our ability to work as a team and support each other no matter what comes our way. Our home is full of love, not just between us, but also with our two pets—a loyal German shepherd named Wolfie and a playful tuxedo cat named Moomoo.

For work, I'm a psychotherapist with a private practice in Los Angeles who works with trauma survivors and those experiencing OCD. I think the qualities I value most in myself are being there for someone when times get hard. I do this for my clients but also for all my friends and family. I'm also very creative and love music, dance, (I'm kind of a dancing fool) and painting. I love beauty, nature and animals. I'm always tending to my plants. I'm very silly and get through hard times by using humor. I love making people laugh. I hope to share my love of art, travel and adventure with my little one and show them all the beauty in the world.

I want to teach my child how to enjoy life and how to be happy. I want to teach them how to appreciate the details, to live in the moment.

Negar is an incredible person with a huge heart. She works with people who have experienced trauma, offering them care and support, and I admire her deeply for the compassion she brings to her work. She also has a fantastic sense of humor and, in many ways, is a child at heart. We both love exploring the world together, diving into new cultures, and creating memories wherever we go. One of the things I adore about her is how much she cares for our pets—she’s such a gentle and thoughtful caretaker. It’s those small, nurturing moments that make me so excited to see her as a mother. We love spending time singing karaoke, watching scary movies, and hanging out with our friends, family, and community. I know she’ll bring that same joy, energy, and warmth into raising our future child.

For work, I’m a software engineer with a passion for creating applications that help people with disabilities. I also have the privilege of working with nonprofit organizations to raise funds for causes that make a real difference in people’s lives. In my free time, I love building things and working with my hands, whether it’s improving our home, crafting leather goods, or creating fun tech gadgets like weather stations or quirky computer accessories. I’m excited about the opportunity to become a father and know that I’ll approach it with the same love, patience, and compassion that I show in everything I do. I look forward to guiding our child through life’s adventures, supporting them as they grow, and helping them discover the things they’re passionate about. My friends would describe me as caring, supportive, and a bit goofy—I’m always the one they turn to when they need a listening ear or a helping hand.

Fernando is one of the strongest, most resilient people I've ever met, and I'm lucky to have him as my husband. He is always trying to make our lives better, and goes out of his way for other people. He is warm, generous, and affectionate. Everyone loves a Fernando hug. He's full of talent, wonder, and ambition. He's also full of love. He's good at all the things I'm not good at, like pure logic, and strategy. He's always one step ahead. I admire him very much for that. I can't wait for our child to experience him as a father.

We both love to dance and explore new places! Traveling the world and discovering beautiful locations is something we’re passionate about, and we’re so excited to share those experiences with your child. We enjoy hosting family barbecues and dinners with friends and neighbors, which fills our home with warmth and laughter. Living near a large park, we often go for picnics with our dog, Wolfie, and love chatting with our neighbors and fellow dog walkers.

Our home is nestled in a peaceful community, away from the hustle and bustle of city traffic. We’re close with our neighbors and often find ourselves outside enjoying casual chats. Just a short walk away is a beautiful park with a lake where kids can fish, kayak, and play. We love the sense of community here, and there are many great schools nearby, which are even within walking distance. One of our favorite spots at home is our backyard, where we can relax and enjoy the calming sound of the waterfall Fernando built. We also love attending outdoor movie nights in the area, and we can’t wait to take your child to these fun community events. Our summers may be hot, but fall brings a lovely change with beautiful weather. We’re also a short drive away from the ocean, and in the winter, we can easily visit the snowy mountains for a bit of fun in the cold. Our home and community are filled with warmth, and we can’t wait to share it all with a little one.

Our family is big, warm, and full of love! Fernando has two sisters, a brother, and plenty of nieces and nephews, while his father lives in Houston, where we often visit. Negar has a brother and a large extended family with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and they’re all very close. Negar's brother is also expecting his first child, so there’s even more excitement building in our family. We celebrate holidays with big family gatherings, filled with laughter, delicious food, and joy. Though we come from different cultural backgrounds, we find so much similarity in our values and the way we love and support each other. Our family and friends, both near and far, are a big part of our lives. We’ve met amazing people from our travels and have stayed connected with them over the years. Everyone is eager and excited to welcome your child into the family!

We both come from rich cultural backgrounds—Fernando is first-generation Mexican-American, and Negar is first-generation Iranian-American. One of our favorite traditions is celebrating Day of the Dead in Mexico near Fernando’s father’s hometown, where we honor loved ones and celebrate the beauty of life. We also love celebrating Persian New Year with our family and cherish the Zoroastrian traditions that are a meaningful part of Negar's heritage.

Fernando is Methodist, so we celebrate those traditions as well, along with the American holidays we’ve both grown up with. At the core, we love celebrating life, whether it’s a holiday or just a gathering with friends and family. We look forward to sharing all of these special moments and creating new traditions with your child!

Wolfie, our German shepherd, is gentle, loyal, and full of energy. He loves playing in the park, going on walks, and always keeps a watchful, protective eye on those he loves. Moomoo is a rescue who followed Fernando into his car. She is mischievous but cuddly, often curling up next to us or sneaking in for extra love. Both are wonderful with kids—Wolfie enjoys running around and playing fetch, while Moomoo, adores gentle pets on her terms. They bring so much love and fun to our home!

We're a diverse couple. We bring together two vastly different worlds. And we have made it work. We enjoy each other's cultures and we want to teach our child to enjoy their own culture as well as explore others, other countries, other kinds of people, other foods and customs. Our parenting philosophy is lead with love and compassion, but have firm boundaries that are consistent and fair. We will try our hardest to never promise what we can't deliver, but that if we do make a promise, it will happen. Here is our promise to you: we will do everything in our power to create a magical, rich life for your child, full of love, opportunities, support, family and nurturing.
