We are Adam & Bradley from Washington, D.C. We are so grateful that you are considering us to be your child’s adoptive parents and can’t wait to get to know you more. We are excited to share aspects of our life with you and to open our hearts and boundless love to your child.

We know your decision is exceptionally important, and we will offer your child a life of love, happiness, and support. We are eager for you to learn more about who we are and our desire to become parents. So, thank you for considering us as adoptive parents to your child. We recognize how courageous your decision is to choose adoption and are thankful that you are considering us as an adoptive family for your child.

We met as students in Washington, D.C. in 2008. Our shared interests and common life goals soon made us inseparable. Bradley eventually moved away to Miami, Florida to continue his education, and our relationship became long-distance for two years, further cementing our commitment to one another.

Once Bradley moved back to DC in 2012, we put roots down in the region and married in 2017, purchasing our first home shortly thereafter.

Our favorite place to be is outdoors, and we love exploring the region’s hiking and walking trails with our dog, Jack. And, while home is in DC, our hearts are on the ski slopes, as we take numerous ski trips every year out west and on nearby ski hills. While indoors, we love cooking, playing board games, reading, and catching up on our favorite TV shows. Adam has firsthand experience with adoption, having been adopted himself as an infant.

Adam’s adopted parents and sister have shown him the true love and compassion that comes from a blended family, and his life experience has allowed him to be uniquely suited to becoming an excellent adoptive parent. Bradley comes from a large, supportive family, and his parents are eagerly looking forward to welcoming another grandchild.

We love to travel the world, explore new cultures, and eat all types of food! We look forward to traveling with our future child and showing them the world’s exciting culture, cuisine, and museums.

I grew up in a suburban town outside of New York City, with two older sisters. From an early age, my parents taught me that hard work and perseverance are to be met with generosity and kindness toward others.

Education and learning were always top priorities for my parents, who nurtured my curious mind in reading, writing, and language arts. I majored in journalism in college, which led me to Washington, D.C., where I met Adam, and where I currently work in a stable government job.

My workplace has a day-care center in the office building, where parents can visit their children throughout the day. I receive two months of paid time off each year and have a 9-5 routine with no weekend or evening work required. With a generous paternity leave policy, I plan to spend at least the first three months at home, caring for the new baby.

Bradley is a gentle, kind soul, whose sense of patience is matched only by his desire to engage and learn more about people. He is sensitive, which underscores his desire to make the world a better place. He is an excellent listener, but more importantly, he is an excellent learner, and is always willing to try new things and take on any new challenge that comes his way.

Bradley is also incredibly selfless, having served as a volunteer tutor each Saturday morning for four years, and currently as a tutor teaching English to adult learners as a weekly volunteer.

I can’t wait for Bradley to become a father. He will teach your child to be caring and loving, while also instilling a sense of calm determination to reach any goals that your child sets their mind to.

I was born in suburban Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to a very young mom and dad, and was adopted by a family when I was just four days old. I have a younger sister who is the biological child of my parents. From a young age, I always knew that I was adopted, and was taught to be proud of the blended family that I was a part of.

I always kept busy after school, either on my school’s swimming or lacrosse teams, participating in performing arts, or at my first job at a local pizza joint. My passion for politics ultimately led me to move to Washington, D.C. and attend college. I got to travel the world while studying abroad in Egypt and still find Mediterranean food to be my all-time favorite.

I’ve worked for over a decade in a traditional office setting that allows me to maintain a regular and flexible work schedule, which allows me to pursue my personal passions outside the office. My job has a good work-life balance.

Adam is the most lovable, funny, and caring spouse that anyone can ask for, and I know he will become an outstanding father. Underlying Adam’s jovial nature is a person of earnest conviction, always willing to lend a helping hand and listening ear. Adam strives to make those around him a better person.

Adam is a prolific reader. He loves reading almost as much as he loves the grocery store, and he goes to upwards of a half dozen grocery stores each week to make sure that he can craft the perfect dinner for us. I am lucky to have a spouse who always puts me before himself, and it is this devotion and dedication that will make Adam an amazing father.

We are both amazingly lucky to have our loving and supportive families within a few hours’ drive, who we see every chance we can get.

Adam was born in Pittsburgh and his family still lives nearby, while his younger sister, Kaelah, currently resides in Philadelphia. His parents are entering retirement soon and let us know about their desire for grandchildren quite frequently! Adam’s family spends every Labor Day in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, a tradition which brings us closer every year.

Bradley’s family lives outside New York City. We have five nieces and nephews from his two older sisters, Julie and Andrea. We have seen firsthand how their growing families have been the source of immense joy, and we can’t wait to share in such pride by welcoming your child into our lives.

We live in the funky and diverse U Street neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Your child will be a part of the city, exploring its rich history. We live within four blocks of two public parks and a community center. We are zoned for an excellent bilingual public school, ensuring that your child will learn multiple languages and be surrounded by the city’s diversity. Further afield, your child will live less than two miles from the National Mall with the monuments and memorials, as well as Smithsonian Museums and the National Zoo. In fact, if the weather is nice enough, we can walk to the Zoo in about 20 minutes.

Our neighborhood, while in a city, also has a small-town, neighborly feel, providing the best of both worlds. We recently completed a renovation of our home in anticipation of welcoming a child and can’t wait to see your child play in our backyard and traverse the nation’s capital.

Our 9-year-old poodle mix, Jack, is currently the king of the house, but he can’t wait to welcome another member to the pack! Jack joins us on our hikes around the region, eagerly leading the way to be the first up the trail. Jack’s hobbies include looking for squirrels out of the window, cuddling up on the couch, and trying to play fetch with more than one toy at a time (so far unsuccessfully).
