Hello, we are Ben and Kristina from Virginia Beach, Virginia. We want to thank you for looking at our profile and considering us for adoption!

We know you have many profiles to choose from and we will be extremely grateful if you are to choose us. We admire the decision you have made to give your child an opportunity for a life filled with love, happiness and all that God has blessed us with. We are very family oriented and we enjoy many activities such as family vacations, water activities to include boating, fishing, swimming, as well as theme parks. We enjoy spending time together making memories and hope to continue with an addition to our family.

We have always wanted a family of our own. We were not going to let our infertility challenges keep us from making that dream a reality. After many obstacles we faced, we came to realize that God’s path for our family is adoption. We are excited to embark on this next chapter and are looking forward to sharing our lives with our future child.

We initially met in the sixth grade! We graduated high school together and would often run in to each other. After Kristina reached out, we started spending time together, but then our friendship grew into a relationship. After dating for five years, Ben proposed with a homemade scratcher ticket, he used our birth dates as the winning numbers. He also drew pictures of things we enjoy and of trips we have taken. The final “scratcher” was a picture of a ring that said “Win for life.” We were married the following year and will soon be celebrating our five year wedding anniversary in April! We are both passionate about our hobbies, enjoy each other’s sense of humor, find comfort in our faith, and enjoy spending time with family. We enjoy going to our nephew and nieces sporting events and taking them for fun experiences.

I’m the youngest of three. As a kid, I enjoyed riding my bike with my brother, cousins and friends. I cherish those memories. I started working at the age of eighteen as a part-time doorman at a high-rise condo on the oceanfront. After two years, I started working full time on the maintenance staff and have been in that field ever since.

I’m very handy and it runs in the family as my granddad built his house and my dad built his boat. I enjoy the outdoors and activities such as fishing, boating and anything that has to do with the water. I’m excited to be a father and hope that I can be as good of a parent to my child as my parents have been for me.

I’m a loving and caring person, I hope to pass along these same qualities to my child.

Ben is by far the best person I know. He is thoughtful, caring, loving, incredibly helpful and big-hearted! Ben makes me a better person; he has been such a positive influence in my life and he continues to be.

Ben has such patience and that will really come in handy when we have a child. He takes the time to explain things and I can’t wait for him to show our future child all the things he has learned in his life.

Ben is so good with children and they are drawn to him. We have been in church and I’ve seen a child who was being held by his mother push the parents head out of the way just to maintain eye contact with Ben. He is the best uncle to our nephew and nieces. They have “traditions” they do before saying goodbye to each other, such as them running and jumping in his arms to give their goodbye hugs.

I am the big sister to my brother Brandon. I was a cheerleader for nine years and coached for about three years after that. I started babysitting at an early age and have always enjoyed children.

I’m funny, helpful and always try to be there when things are needed. I cherish my family and friendships, my best friend has said, “Kristina is hands down the most dependable friend I have and would drop everything if needed without question.”

I enjoy reading, taking walks with Ben, watching football with my dad, going to our nephews’ baseball games and watching our nieces play soccer. When not at these events, you can usually find us at a theme/water park or at concerts, but we can also sit back and enjoy a good movie or show. I’m excited to share all of these things and more when I become a parent.

First of all, I love that Kristina always takes care of me and makes sure that I have everything I need. She makes sure I have breakfast before I leave for work. She packs me a lunch and will throw in a surprise snack for me.

Kristina is always interested in how my day goes and is always there for love and support. Kristina makes sure to be here for me when I need her. She is responsible, trustworthy and compassionate.

Kristina is a claims analyst for an insurance company and works from home four days a week with one day in office. Her job allows for quite a bit of flexibility and provides leave time to bond with our future child. We are both hard working and live by the motto of work hard and play harder!

Kristina is always giving of herself and her time. She makes sure not to miss a game or activity that our nephew and nieces are excited and involved with, and these typically trump all. Kristina holds a special place in our nephew and niece’s hearts and they light up every time they see her.

We enjoy many activities together and also have things we enjoy separately. Ben is an avid fisherman, and sometimes Kristina will tag along for a walk and read her current book, or she will watch football on Sundays. While we both enjoy concerts, Ben is not usually the one found at the country concert. We enjoy boat rides, trips to Busch Gardens by ourselves but usually with family and friends, as well as going to a local water park.

We love to travel! Every summer we go to the Outer Banks, NC for a weekend with Ben's family and typically have at least one vacation with Kristina's family. We have had the opportunity to travel to Hawaii, Alaska, Texas, Florida, Rhode Island, Las Vegas, St. Croix, as well as some tropical cruises.

For the last few years, we have been including an experience as a Christmas gift for our nephew and nieces. We have enjoyed taking them to the local AAA baseball games, manicure and pedicures for the girls, going to a local shop to have them make their own tye dye shirts and an indoor play place. We can’t wait for the opportunity to enjoy these experiences with our future child!

Our bucket list may be small but our top item on the list would be to start a family and make memories with our future child as we travel, hang out with family and continue with family traditions, as well as starting our own. Next on our bucket list is to travel to Ireland. We are obsessed with everything Irish, our favorite color is green and Ben proposed on St Patrick’s Day. Another item on our bucket list is to own a house on the water with a wraparound porch.

We are lucky enough to live in Virginia Beach, VA, which is a place with four seasons and fairly close to the oceanfront! With that being said, we enjoy walks on the beach, boardwalk art shows and other festivals at the beach. During Christmas they do a holiday lights at the beach where you can drive on the boardwalk to see the light display. Another perk of our location is that we can drive two to four hours and be in the mountains in two different states or drive two hours and be in the Outer Banks, NC! We have so many options of things to do in our area with a local water park fifteen minutes away. Busch Gardens and Water Country USA are about an hour drive away, plus we have a local amphitheater for concerts.

We enjoy a big backyard in our home which provides a lot of shade and we live in a good school zone. We are also lucky enough to live close to both of our parents as well as both of our brothers. We are excited to have our families so close so that our child can build a relationship with them as well as be able to experience all our area has to offer with them.

We rescued our mixed breed dog about a year ago, he is two years old and would be a great companion to any child. We named him Aisteach which is Irish for curious and describes him to a tee. He loves people and really loves to go on walks.

We are privileged to live close to both sets of parents, as well as our brothers and Ben’s stepdad.

We see our parents on a weekly basis, we have Friday night family dinners every week with Kristina’s parents and can usually find us enjoying breakfast on the weekends with Ben’s dad. In the spring and fall, you will find us at our nephew’s baseball games or our niece’s soccer games cheering them on! We always celebrate birthdays by having family dinners.

We have many family traditions to introduce to our future child. Some of those traditions are Ben’s annual family Christmas party (52 years!) and a Christmas Eve gathering with Kristina’s family (65 years!) where we sing Christmas carols. We start with the youngest person and work our way up to the oldest, each person picks the song they want to sing and everyone joins in after they start the carol!

We are so thankful for the support of our family and friends as they are always there for us. One of our closest friends was adopted, and we also have a couple friends who are adoptive parents who have been big supporters, and we know they will continue to be here for us every step of the way.

We strive to be honest, trustworthy, to always show respect and be compassionate and kind to people. We hope to share these values with our future child and lead by example in showing them. We like to donate at our church for functions when they offer opportunities such as donating a Thanksgiving dinner for families in need, providing gifts at Christmas for the local angel trees, as well as school supplies and food donations for drives through work.

We are excited to explore life with our child! We want to share the things we enjoy but also be open to finding out what interests our future child has, what sports they want to play, if any, having lifelong friendships with their cousins and having the close relationships that we have with our families. We want to encourage our future child to follow their dreams. We will be their biggest supporters and will be there for every big event and moment in their life. We will share how brave their birth mother is for choosing to allow us to have the honor of being their parents.

We are looking forward to going through life’s journey with them, making memories, celebrating birthdays and holidays. Our family has a tradition for birthday celebrations of dinner of choice with the whole family. Halloween is another tradition where we enjoy getting together to carve pumpkins. We go over to Kristina’s parents’ house to help decorate and pass out candy to the children.
