Hi! Our names are Bradley & Javier along with our daughter, Sofia. We live in beautiful Santa Ana, California. First and foremost, we want to thank you for taking the time to look at our profile and get to know our family. We were married in June of 2016 and were blessed to adopt Sofia in October 2020. The journey with Sofia was not always easy, but it was an incredible experience – and we are ready to do it again so we can grow our family.

From day one, we knew we wanted to share the incredible values, ideals, hopes, and dreams our parents instilled in us with children of our own. Your child will grow up in a home where their well-being and happiness is the number one priority. We will also work hard to shape a strong, empowered, and successful individual who will realize their fullest potential.

We know every situation is different and can only imagine the roller coaster of emotions you have experienced; we want you to know the child you are having is special, and we would be extremely grateful and honored to be given the opportunity to raise them with happiness and love. Should you decide to let us raise your baby, know they will be surrounded by an amazing family, a strong support group, and unconditional love.

We met in November 2014 and jumped in feet-first. We knew we were right for each other when on our first date we discussed family, marriage, and the importance of one day becoming parents.

Just over a year and a half later we were married in June of 2016 in a small ceremony surrounded by our immediate families. The following week we celebrated with our extended families and friends with a wedding reception complete with an all-female mariachi band.

In October 2020 we were overjoyed when Sofia joined our family. Life-changing is so cliché, but it is the only way to describe her. Being parents has brought us closer together and made us happier than we ever imagined. We discovered the truth that the heart has the capacity to love without limits.

For fun, we enjoy going to Disneyland, exploring local restaurants with family and friends, going to the beach, and gardening. We have family game night once a month with members of both sides of our families and every other month participate in a book club.

I grew up in Anaheim, California with my parents, two sisters and two brothers. We are a close family and get together regularly with our immediate and extended family.

Throughout school I earned good grades and was active in extracurricular activities like swimming and music. After high school, I attended California State University, Fullerton for two semesters. This was the first time I had ever struggled in school. I wouldn’t say that I found college difficult, I was just uninterested. After my second semester I decided college was not what I wanted to be doing at the time. I went on to work a variety of jobs, at a youth center, at a day camp teaching sailing, and in retail. Today, I have a master’s degree in organizational leadership and a job as a fundraiser for a nonprofit youth organization. I am fortunate that I have a flexible schedule and can work from home a few days a week, so I am able to prioritize my family. In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors gardening or relaxing at the beach.

Bradley makes me smile; I think of him as the man who made my dreams come true. I know that this sounds cheesy but it’s true. Because of Bradley I have my family and nothing in this world is more special or important to me. Bradley is the smartest person I know, and I cannot believe he decided to be with me, but now I am living with my best friend. When I met him, I knew I had met my partner because he wanted kids and he did everything is his power to make it happen. In 2020 we were blessed with Sofia. Having Sofia uncovered a new side of Bradley, he became a different man. The way he looks at her when he is holding her and when he is playing with her, makes me see his capacity for love. Bradley is close to his family and his friends, and I have been lucky to see how much he loves his mother, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Bradley is the best father, and I can only hope I am as good a father as he is; I am very lucky he is my partner, my friend, and a father to my child. It is not a coincidence that one of Sofia’s first words was daddy.

Sofia loves Bradley, I love Bradley, and I know any child we are lucky to make part of our family will love him too.

I was born in Santa Ana to a Mexican-American family. As a family we went to Mexico each summer to visit my grandmother and my dad’s sisters and brothers. We usually spent three months with my dad’s family. My mom’s family all lived in Santa Ana, in fact, on the same block as us. My mom had seven sisters and 22 nieces and nephews!

Being close to my family helped me develop an appreciation for family. Education is very important to my family and because of this my sisters and I all earned college degrees, the first in our families. I love school, everything about it. I love to learn and I love to teach, which in my opinion is the best way to learn, and is why I continued with schooling and earned my Master of Business Administration and Doctorate of Business Administration degrees. I have the first doctorate in my family. My degrees and my education have allowed me to become a professor; I currently teach online at several colleges and universities. Teaching online allows me to be home all day; I can be with Sofia and not missing out on her growth and development is the best gift my education has given me. Once it comes time to bring the new baby home, this flexibility will be very helpful.

When I have some free time, I love to read, especially anything that has to do with magic, vampires, or werewolves. I am a bit of a nerd!

You never know how parenthood is going to change a person or a relationship. Watching Javier become a father has been the highlight of my life.

Just as with all things he undertakes, he jumped in feet first and is the most hands-on father one could ever hope for. Javier’s first priority is his family, and it shows in everything he does. Every choice he makes, every decision he ponders, is always framed by what is best for our family. The look on his face when playing with Sofia is magical. I can’t wait to grow our family and watch him share all he has to offer with another child. Outside of the home, Javier is conscientious and thoughtful. He loves learning new things and sharing about them – I think it is why teaching is such a natural fit for him. He is passionate about being the best he can in all he does.

I could not ask for a better partner on life’s journey and I can’t wait to raise another child with him.

Sofia joined our family when she was born in October 2020. She is curious, mischievous, and loves to explore the world around her. It has been so fun watching her personality develop and grow every day. Her favorite toys are ones that light up and make sounds. Sofia enjoys cheese puffs, cookies, and mango. Sofia is walking and wants to see as much as possible. She is a determined and likes to play with the dogs and cat, much to their dismay. Sofia loves her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins and they love her.

Sofia will make such a great sibling and your child and Sofia will have adoption in common!

We live in Santa Ana, California 10 minutes away from Disneyland! Our neighborhood is a quiet one and very family friendly. In fact, several family members live within walking distance. There is a park around the corner with a playground that is ideal for afternoon playtime on a warm afternoon. The local elementary school is an award-winning Distinguished School and has choral and instrumental music programs. The city has a wide variety of sports and other extracurricular activities for children of all ages. The local community is incredibly diverse and boasts community festivals celebrating cultures from around the world on a regular basis.

We have two dogs, Oliver - a terrier, and Delores - a dachshund, and a cat named Eponine. The dogs are inseparable and love going for walks around the neighborhood. The cat, Eponine, is spunky and loves to chase the dogs around the house. All of the pets are so gentle, patient, and playful with Sofia.

We are so fortunate that both our families are close; we are able to spend a lot of time with them. Bradley’s oldest sister, Tricia, is married with two children (16 and 10), his younger sister, Stephanie, is married with three children (10, 9, and 7). His mother, younger brother, Steven, his wife, and their daughters (5 and 2) live 15 minutes away. Beyond his immediate family, Bradley has two uncles, four aunts, and eight cousins.

Javier’s family is a short hour away. His parents live with his older sister, Becky, her husband, and three children (21, 18, and 16) and his younger sister, Marianna, lives nearby with her husband and their son and daughter (8 and 5). Beyond his immediate family, Javier has five aunts, and twenty-two cousins!

Holidays are big celebrations on both sides of the family! Christmas Eve is spent with Javier’s family, while Christmas Day is spent with Bradley’s. Thanksgiving and Easter are alternated every other year between the families. No matter where we happen to be for any particular holiday, we are always surrounded by family.
