Hello! I'm Brittany from San Diego, California. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me! I grew up in New Jersey and ventured out to Los Angeles for graduate school. Then I made my way down to San Diego, which I now call home. I am a pediatric physical therapist and spend my working days helping children improve their mobility and ability to play. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, taking my dog on adventures to the beach and park, running, hiking, playing pickleball, reading, building Legos, and traveling.
Dear Birth Mother...
Why I am Adopting
Adoption is the perfect way for me to fulfill my dreams of having a family. I have grown up wide eyed and determined to live a fulfilled life with goals of attaining good health, a rewarding career, an oasis to call home, enjoyment from travel and hobbies, and last but not least a loving family. I have acquired all but a family and am so ready to embark on this journey to grow my family through adoption. As a pediatric physical therapist, I have seen the positive moments of a child taking their first steps as well as the more difficult moments of a child receiving their first wheelchair. Although one can never truly prepare for the more challenging parenting moments I am prepared to provide a loving and nurturing home for your child.
Getting to Know Me
The three most important things to me in my life are my family, my dog – Chase, and good health. I have a very close relationship with my family and look forward to spending quality time with them. I share my passion for science and medicine with my dad and consider my mom to be a best friend and enjoy taking mother-daughter trips around the world.
In addition to having close family ties, I also have a deep bond with my goldendoodle. We love going on daily walks through our mini downtown of shops and restaurants that leads to the beach, playing fetch at the neighborhood park, and snuggling on the couch together.
Living in Southern California enables me to sustain my third passion of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Sunny days in San Diego enable me to go on daily runs and walks, explore hiking spots, and paddleboard through the Pacific Ocean.
I cannot wait to become a mother & grow my family! I look forward to providing a loving and nurturing home rich in opportunities for education, exploration, and imagination. I picture running along the coast, pushing a stroller with my goldendoodle, Chase, at our side followed by creating memories on the beach, building sandcastles and splashing in the ocean. I also envision night time cuddles while reading books and taking frequent trips to the neighborhood park and library. As time goes on, I am excited for all the milestone moments of first steps, attending school, extracurriculars, and so much more.
I can't wait to be my child's supporter throughout life, and I hope to build a close knit relationship with lots of love, communication, and memories.
Hobbies & Interests
- I channel my creative side by making scented candles and painting pottery with friends. I also have fun hosting themed events such as tea parties, create your own floral bouquets, and tapas nights.
- I am always looking for a new challenge and am competitive with myself when I sign up for full and half marathons. I thrive off the crowds at races and the post-race endorphin rush.
- I also enjoy a leisurely day at the beach or reading a romance novel or World War II historical fiction book in the sun on my back patio
- During my downtime at home, I enjoy completing and then collecting adult Lego sets, trying new healthy vegetarian or plant-based recipes, and trying out different coffee shops
- Another important part of me is the love for travel and exploration; I greatly enjoy both the planning of trip itineraries, as well as the cultural experience when I am in a new place. Each year I try to take a trip somewhere new with my most recent trip being to Japan and Singapore!
- On these trips, I collect a piece of art unique to the culture. I look forward to future travels to my never ending list of destinations – Portugal, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, and Morocco. I can’t wait to enhance my travel memories and experiences with my future child!
My Career
As a pediatric physical therapist, I work to rehabilitate children from birth through 21 years of age. Most of my patients start in the program at a young age and receive services until they age out at 21. Therefore, I establish very close relationships with my patients and their families. It is remarkable to watch them grow and improve their mobility. I love helping and making a difference in others’ lives. Working in pediatrics enables me to be a forever learner and has helped me become more patient and understanding.

My Home & Community
I live in a small beach town in San Diego called Encinitas. It is known for the laid back vibes with emphasis on being family oriented, as well as, prioritizing health and wellness. The school system is also highly rated and offers bilingual learning opportunities. Everyone is always outside enjoying the Southern California weather regardless of the time of year. There are many community events such as holiday parades, beach concerts, and fairs. I can’t wait to participate in a parade and bask in the music at the beach concerts as a family! I am a short walk to the downtown area of shops and restaurants, the beach, several parks with playgrounds, and the community library, which overlooks the ocean. My house is perfect for me and my future child. I am already envisioning the nursery and look forward to redecorating together when they get older.
My favorite part of my house is my rooftop patio that overlooks the coastline. I love spending time reading out there especially on early summer evenings when you can hear music from the downtown area. I can’t wait for this area to be full of outdoor play activities to create memories with my future child.
The best thing about my community is that it is very family oriented. There are holiday parades, seasonal fairs, concerts at the beach, and local races. These events are teeming with families and encourage spending quality time together. In addition to this, my town offers a wide variety of summer camps for children and is dedicated to supporting local small businesses. The shops in the downtown district are always hosting events, and the business owners take initiative to get to know the community.

About My Loved Ones
I have a relatively small but close knit family. My dad is very hardworking and career-driven. He spends countless hours helping save lives even as he nears his retirement. He is strong-willed and determined. My mom is selfless, kind, and my biggest supporter. Everyone always says how similar we are, and I hope to be a mother like her someday. My parents are always coming out for visits and plan to retire in San Diego in the near future. They can’t wait to share holiday meals and frequent visits with their future grandchild.
I also have a brother, who is married with a two-year old daughter in Florida. My brother and I are very different from one another but balance each other out; he is more lively and outgoing whereas I am more reserved and an active listener. I love every opportunity to channel my inner child when playing with my niece. We also love to FaceTime when she is playing dress up or dancing to Taylor Swift. Although we don’t live in the same state, I am grateful I get to share some holidays and milestone moments such as weddings, birthdays, and births.
My Promises to You and Your Child
- To be loving and nurturing
- To be their biggest supporter and number one fan
- To instill values of respecting others, honesty, kindness, empathy, and compassion
- To encourage communication and to listen
- To make them feel safe
- To be patient and understanding
- To provide opportunities for learning, exploring, and creating amazing memories
