We know this is an important decision and want to reassure you we will love and nurture your child. We both know how important family is and have wanted to start our own for a long time. We tried to have children biologically, and through IVF, but were unsuccessful.

We hope you get to know us and believe we will do everything we can to make sure your child is raised in a loving home filled with so much joy and laughter and total support from us, where they can grow up embraced in total unconditional love. We feel very fortunate that there might be an opportunity where we could provide a loving home to a child through adoption.

Cynthia grew up in London, while Ryan was born and bred in Los Angeles. Our worlds collided when Cynthia moved halfway across the world to California for a job opportunity, and we haven’t been apart since!

We bonded over our love of British Indie music, and a passion for discovering as many new restaurants as possible. Our list is eclectic and goes from the very best to Taco Bell! It’s been really special creating our unique life together, combining elements from our different cultures and backgrounds.

Once we found each other, we knew that was it! We planned to get married a few years ago but then the pandemic started so we had to get creative. We had a bunch of small celebrations with different family members and friends. It was definitely unique and we’ll have a great story to tell the grandkids one day!

Hi, I’m Ryan. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I developed a passion for music and art at the ripe old age of 5. It never faded. I have a degree in music therapy. I work with kids who share a love for music. I mentor them in bands and help my students discover what rings true to them. Although it’s a full-time job, I’m able to create my own schedule to be home for my family. I enjoy cooking and can’t wait to have a future food critic keeping me in check!

Ryan is the most genuine person I’ve ever known in my life. He is so full of love for me, our cats, his family and friends … I feel incredibly lucky every single day that we met. He has incredible reserves of patience and empathy. It’s no surprise that all his students love him. He has an amazing ability to “read” his students and help them grow and develop individually. All these attributes will make him an amazing father.

Hi, I’m Cynthia! I was born in Malaysia, moved to New York when I was 5 years old, and then to London, United Kingdom, when I was 9. I studied Ancient History and Chinese sculpture. I worked at art galleries and auction houses. But I wanted to be more hands on and really do something with my creative spark. So, I ended up working on music videos and short films before discovering the world of post-production. I now create visual effects for TV commercials and have worked on numerous campaigns for cars, fashion, computers and everything in between. I got a job opportunity to move to the US and decided I was ready for a big adventure. I got a lot more than I ever expected! In the same year, I met Ryan and adopted two cats and I love that my little journey has turned into an incredible new life. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next chapter and become a parent with Ryan!

My office is flexible in terms of working in the office or at home. I’m actually fortunate that currently I work fully at home. Combined with my company’s generous parental leave, this will mean I’ll be able to spend a lot of time looking after our family.

Cynthia is very sweet and genuine. She has nothing but unconditional love for her friends and family. She loves the life we built and is beyond excited to share it with our beautiful addition that she will love and nurture forever. She’s the perfect balance of fun and silly, while providing guidance and practicality.

We live in Sherman Oaks in sunny Southern California. It’s a lovely, safe neighborhood in Los Angeles. Our home is spacious, airy and has lots of natural light. We’re close to a beautiful park filled with families and kids playing recreational sports. Ryan actually grew up here and knows this area like the back of his hand. We’re so lucky to have family and friends within walking distance.

Living in LA has the luxury of being close to everything. We’re 20 minutes away from the beach, the mountains, and Universal Studios! We’re just an hour car ride away from some of the greatest theme parks in the world like Disneyland, Magic Mountain and Knott’s Berry Farm.

We’re close to so many shops, restaurants, museums, farmer’s markets, bookstores, music venues, and MUCH more. We really are so lucky!

We have two cats, Kiki and Boots, and they’re probably the best in the world.

By Cynthia: Since I was little, I always wanted a pet. The first thing I did when I moved to LA was adopt 2 rescue cats. They’re sisters named Kiki and Boots. Kiki is a graceful grey tabby and Boots is a gorgeous black and white tuxedo. They love to cuddle and be around people. They’re playful and great around kids. When Boots first met Ryan it was true love and they are genuinely best friends!

Cynthia: I have one older sister, Jasmine, who is a doctor. Both her and my mum, Jenny, live back in London. My dad unfortunately passed away 10 years ago, but the three of us have remained a very tight knit family and zoom every single week. They visit us often and we enjoy returning the favor. London is lovely during the holidays!

Ryan: My mom, Sylvia, lives nearby and we see her often. We also spend a lot of time with my brother, Jeff, and his family. I absolutely love hanging out with my two-year-old niece Emma. My aunts, uncles, cousins, and their children also live close by. We spend every holiday and birthday together.

Cynthia’s had a full immersion into celebrating Hanukkah and can really spin that dreidel! On Thanksgiving we have a huge feast with the family in my cousin’s garden. On Hanukkah my Uncle leads us in lighting the candles and singing songs. For Christmas we decorate a tree and watch our cats figure out how to dismantle it! New Year is always so fun, we usually celebrate it with friends and have a potluck dinner.
