Hello! We are Danny and Richard from Odessa, Florida. Hello, we want to extend our heartfelt admiration for the decision you are making. We understand that considering adoption for your child is an incredibly difficult and we want to assure you that your well-being and the well-being of your child are of utmost importance to us. Although we may not fully understand the circumstances surrounding your decision, we are humbled and grateful for the opportunity to potentially become parents. Your child will always be cherished and celebrated, and we promise to honor the unique journey that has brought them into our lives.

We’ve always valued family very deeply. Both of us come from warm and loving families. We’ve long held the dream of creating our own loving household. When we bought our home, one of our first visions was seeing our future child playing alongside their cousins and our dogs. As a same-sex couple, adoption offers us the opportunity to fulfill our dreams of parenthood and provide a loving home to a child who needs one. We are overly excited and eagerly looking forward to watching our child grow up and being able to provide a warm and loving home.

We began dating in 2018 after knowing each other for a couple of years. Then in 2020, Danny surprised Richard with a magical proposal at Disney World underneath the Epcot fireworks. We tied the knot the following year in the Catskills mountains in upstate New York. Since then, we've moved to Tampa, FL, and regularly visit Disney, each time growing more excited about the prospect of starting a family. When not at Disney, we enjoy spending time with our dogs on our boat or bonding with our nephews. These moments together remind us of the cherished memories we created with our own families as children, and we're excited to create new ones with our own family. We eagerly await the day when we can introduce our future child to the wonders of Disney, take them on their first boat ride, explore our community together on bikes, and show them the magic of New York City lights, the Rockefeller Christmas tree, warm Long Island summers and countless other experiences.

Marrying Danny changed my life in ways I couldn't have even predicted. During the wedding planning process, I started to fall in love the creation and the fun in the logistics of it all. We became super close with our wedding planner that she also became my mentor, as I started my own wedding planning business. I have always been a creative person at heart and loved working management roles behind the scenes. My friends have always told me“You bring joy to not just me but to everyone you meet." I always thought it was them being nice, but now seeing the happiness and love I get to bring my couples truly does make me say“I love what I do."

I am super excited to pass along how to be a “selfless, loving, goofy person” to our future child. I am excited to encourage creativity and individualism in being who they are.

Richard is a caring and loving person that thrives when he is around the people that are most important to him. Our nephews and nieces always look forward to seeing him and playing with him. I call him the favorite because he is requested more than me when we see them. Richards love for Disney will probably be the most exciting thing for our future child. Since we do go to Disney about once a month, he always talks about how excited he is to bring our child with us to Disney and for them to be able to share those memories together. Richard enjoys taking his nephews to Monster Jam and cannot wait to be able to take our future child along for the fun as well.

The thing I am most proud about myself is a large portion of my life was dedicated to serving my community. As a volunteer fireman in my hometown and a New York City Police Officer, I gladly put myself in harm's way to protect my community and ensure the safety of others. I take a tremendous amount of pride in my service and my unwavering commitment to keep others safe. Although that time has passed for me, I am looking forward to teaching our future child about being brave, helping others in need, and how incredible acts of selflessness can change the world. I enjoy the outdoors and can usually be found boating or kayaking, or observing wildlife on a hike. I also enjoy traveling and observing different communities and sharing in their cultures. I am looking forward to sharing the true beauty of the world and what it has to offer.

There is so much to say about Danny, sometimes he may look a bit serious on the outside, but inside he's just a fun-loving goofball. Danny has this ability to find a connection to anybody he meets. He isn't just a goof ball with kids, he has this electric energy that makes everyone around him want to have the best time being the life of the party. During his cousin's wedding, the DJ started playing "Let It Go" from Frozen, but there was Danny singing with all of the kids on the dance floor. He pushes me every day to become a better version of myself and I know that he will be an amazing father. He will make sure our child comes first, encouraging them to be the best version of themselves, showing them love and affection every step of the way.

We live in a preplanned community in the North Tampa suburbs called Starkey Ranch. A welcoming community, that offers residents a blend of modern amenities and natural beauty. It is nestled alongside 8,300 acres of state preserve and about 30 minutes away from downtown Tampa and about 30 minutes from the beach. Starkey Ranch has a network of trails and parks that are perfect for enjoying the warm sunny Florida days. Starkey Ranch embodies the essence of Florida living, allowing us to enjoy outdoor adventures, gathering with neighbors, or simply taking in the serene surroundings. What we enjoy most about our home is the location within our community, we are only steps away from the state preserve and that allows us to see the amazing beauty and wildlife daily. The proximity of our boat to our home is also a key factor when we chose this as our community to live in. We are about 20 minutes from our boat and this gives us easy access to enjoy Florida's beautiful waters.

One of our favorite things about our community is how family/pet friendly it is. You can always walk around the block and see multiple people walking around with their dogs or strollers. Older kids playing catch, basketball or tag in the center park. With us having two dogs it is amazing to stroll around and making friends with our neighbors.

Although a majority of our family is scattered across the east coast of the country. There is always a visitor coming to stay with us, almost every month. We also love to visit our family as well and enjoy traveling to where they are located to spend time with them.

We are truly blessed with how much love is in our family. In Florida we have two of our best friends nearby. They have two children and we are considered their "uncles" since we are just like family.

We want to thank you for considering us as adoptive parents to your child. We will forever be grateful to you for helping to make our dreams of building a family come true. We will never take that for granted. Your child will be loved, cared for and shown the true meaning of family. This decision isn't just changing our lives for the better but also our family’s. Every family has their ups and downs, but your child will always know the value of love. We will teach them to be strong, brave, independent, and will always lift them up and encourage them to be the best and truest version of themselves. We will also make sure they know the love you have for them and the courageous choice you made in choosing adoption.
