Hello! We are Erika and Jeff from the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Thank you so much for your interest in getting to know us, we feel immensely grateful that you would consider us in this important decision.

We admire and respect the path you’ve chosen by considering adoption. We hope you can see how very excited we are to have a family and all the unconditional love and support we have to give. We would be so honored to have the opportunity to meet you and would be overjoyed if you were to choose us.

Adoption has always been in our hearts. Ever since we started talking about having a family when we were dating, adoption was included in our dreams for a future family, and when we had trouble conceiving adoption was the beautiful and natural choice for us to grow our family. Erika’s grandparents had biological and adopted children. We would provide the same love and respect with which we know our family provided their adopted child.

Our love story began when we first met at an ice cream shop in Mexico. It was Jeff’s brother who introduced us. Jeff was visiting from France and Erika was living there, but about to go back to California for the holidays. Knowing this, Jeff right away asked her for a date. The first year our relationship was long distance, but we spoke every day, did a lot of traveling and two years after first meeting, we got married in an intimate ceremony in France.

What connected us from the start is our sense of adventure, passion for travel, food and our family values.

We were both raised in loving families where respect, loyalty and compassion were some of the core values. Nothing would make us more happy than to start a family of our own. We are eager and ready to share all of our love and support with our future child.

We love the outdoors and we really enjoy and actively do gardening, hiking, and playing paddle.

On a long weekend we enjoy camping and every chance we get we like to travel. We can’t wait to take our little one on adventures with us! One of the interests that connected us was food, so naturally we love to host and cook dinner for our family and friends as well.

Jeff’s main hobbies are gardening, cooking and playing tennis. He likes to be the chef, and his specialty is making pizza from scratch with ingredients from the garden and cooking it from our pizza oven! His other main hobby is tennis and he even gives tennis lessons to kids and adults. He likes to share his passion and skills for the sport with others and looks forward to sharing these activities with our future children.

Erika loves volunteering for different causes and has volunteered at Stanford Children’s hospital, at different local food banks and currently at the non-profit she co-founded. Additionally, she regularly goes for morning walks, practices yoga and strength training. In her free time, she likes to read, learn French and helps Jeff out in the garden! Like Jeff, she likes to cook, but her specialty is Mexican food.

I’m from sunny California! My three sisters and I were raised by my wonderful parents who have been married now for over 50 years. We have a big family and we were fortunate enough to visit our extended family in Mexico for the summer every year and Christmas. After working a few years for tech companies in California, I had a calling and left my job to co-found a non-profit dedicated to providing English and STEM classes for underprivileged kids living in rural communities in Mexico.

Although I worked on every aspect of the organization, the work I enjoyed most was working with the kids as a teacher. I loved every moment of teaching! Once Jeff and I decided to settle down in California, I started working in sales at a tech company where I’m able to work from home. I’m very happy about this setup because it will allow me to see and dedicate more time during the day with our future kids.

I admire her care for others. Her dedication and love she put to her children’s organization always amazed me. She always has positive energy, she loves every child that crosses her path, and kids love her. She is really patient, I’m learning a lot through her! She would be an amazing mom.

She really appreciates simple things in life, and will celebrate everything. She has words of encouragement for everyone, definitely a giver and a lover. She has a big heart.

I grew up in a small village in France with my parents, two brothers and a dog. My extended family lived in a 20 mile radius from our house, we had celebrations with family members or friends quite often! Every year we went to the mountains with family and friends.

I’ve always been very active, doing a lot of activities within the community and in sports. I can’t wait to share these activities and community of family and friends with our future children. As an adult, my work in luxury hospitality took me to different countries and today in California I work in the home improvement industry. I get out of work in the early afternoon and I’ll have the rest of the day to dedicate to our children!

What first caught my attention when I met Jeff is how much his niece and nephew loved their uncle! He is very playful with the kids! He is also a very grateful, thoughtful and compassionate person. I loved to see the relationship he has with his family and knew that the same love and dedication he has for them he would have for our family. He’s a wonderful husband and he will be an incredible father!

We both have big families. Growing up we got together with our extended families frequently for all the holidays, all milestones and every Sunday for family dinner. We feel lucky to still have these close relationships with not only our extended families but also with our siblings and parents. They’re all incredibly supportive and are excited to welcome a new family member. We often see our family that live minutes away from us for all sorts of occasions and activities. It’s also important to us to travel to France, Mexico and different parts of California to spend time with family and friends that live in these locations. Spending time with each of our families and friends is extremely important to us. Between the two of us we have over 20 nieces and nephews and four godchildren. Our little one will have a big tribe with lots of cousins, aunties, uncles and grandparents!

Some of our favorite holidays that we celebrate are Halloween, Christmas and Day of the Magi, a Christmas holiday celebrated both in France and Mexico. We can’t wait to share all the fun with our future child!

Being surrounded by the mountains and beach is a real joy for us! It makes it so easy to do some of the things we enjoy the most. On the weekends we frequently go to the mountains for a hike or to the beach and take our family dog. It’s all just 40 minutes away from us. We also really enjoy doing picnics either at the beach or the nearby park where we play paddle or go for a walk. The beach and our local park are peaceful and we dream about taking our future kids with us one day! The park has a play structure where we often see kids playing.

At the house we have a garden where we grow seasonal vegetables. It makes us feel proud and happy to just go to the backyard to pick our veggies for the day! We would like to share with our kids the joys and benefits of gardening!

We enjoy giving back to the community. During the pandemic we made pizzas for a homeless shelter. We also help at our local church and volunteer at the city annual community parade.
