Hi nice to meet you! We are Greg, Ricardo and Emily from Pasadena California. We are a caring, fun and loving family, who would love to share with you a little bit about ourselves.
Hi nice to meet you! We are Greg, Ricardo and Emily from Pasadena California. We are a caring, fun and loving family, who would love to share with you a little bit about ourselves.
We met in Las Vegas, out of all places. Ricardo was traveling for work and bumped into Greg, a local. Our first date was attending a Britney Spears concert and we became “Crazy” for each other.
Ricardo was living in Germany at the time and Greg decided to move overseas to be with him. As our relationship grew, we wanted to be closer to our families, so we moved to California.
We got hitched shortly after moving and settled in Pasadena, CA. We always knew we wanted to have a family together, so we decided to become foster parents. We knew it would be tough and we learned a lot from the experience.
In November 2022, our dream came true, we were placed with a newborn baby girl. In July 2023, we finalized the adoption of young Emily. She is the sweetest girl and we are looking forward to continuing to grow our family, this time through private adoption.
Ricardo does everything to 110%. Once he sets out to do something, he does it and does it well! He is an inspirational person because he is dedicated, passionate, resilient, and always makes sure his family comes first.
After adopting Emily, it has been so wonderful to see him adapt, learn and evolve into an amazing Papa! He is so eager to make our home something special for our little one and countless Target runs later, our home is fit for playing, learning and exploring. I cannot wait to see him grow even more as our family expands.
I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I received a bachelor’s degree in Communications, it’s very fitting as I enjoy talking with people. After school, I moved to Las Vegas and lived there for about 4 years. I work in the Human Resources field for a non-profit that creates a sustainable space for the specialty coffee industry. I love coffee and supporting people to do their job well; it’s a good mix of both. I work remotely, allowing me a lot of flexibility in the hours that I work.
I enjoy reading fantasy novels and am a HUGE Harry Potter fan who cannot wait to share them with my children. Baking and photography are two things I like to do on the weekends. And you can find me running regularly throughout the week; I’ve even had a few opportunities to run half marathons with my mom.
Greg has always had this calm and kind energy about him that makes you happy. He has a very kind heart and always cares for others before he thinks of himself. I admire his patience and how he always sees the best in people.
What I love the most about him is how good he is with kids—he is the fun, goofy person that kids love. Emily just laughs with him all the time (its the cutest thing). It melts my heart to see how much love he gives her and how happy she is with him. Growing our family will enrich Greg’s heart and continue to bless us.
Emily is one year old. She loves exploring around the house and taste testing—everything!
Emily loves playing in the mirror, reading stories and laughing. She enjoys dancing and clapping every time she hears music.
Emily loves watching dogs and enjoys making silly faces at people around the neighborhood. She is the oldest in her friend group and loves sharing with the other babies around. We know she’ll make a great big sister!
Our family is filled with happiness, laughter and love. We enjoy playing games and building puzzles; watching Survivor and Harry Potter movies; and spending time with each other. As we grow, we look forward to adding more charisma and love to our lives.
Family is everything to us! We both come from strong families and our parents are still happily married. Love is something we both learned from our parents; it is continuous, strong and always present. We both have an older brother and younger sister, and their families are slowly growing too. We want to make our family feel just as connected; so we expect holidays, vacations and birthday parties to always be filled with family.
I have always been very close with my family, we are loud and always up to having a good time. We value and enjoy spending time together and we love going on trips together. I am lucky to have had a wonderful childhood with a loving family. My favorite memories are recording dancing shows to learn the choreography and perform it in front of my parents, it was so much fun!
My family helped me build strong foundational values of support through love. We support each other through thick and thin, without hesitation, no matter what. I have so many great memories with my family. My favorite are those of camping together. We would go camping for a week every summer with the rest of our cousins and have the best time exploring and eating s’mores. I am excited to share that with my children too.
We live in Pasadena, California—the weather is wonderful, the neighbors are great and we wouldn’t want it any other way! The neighborhood is filled with young couples starting their own families, friendly dogs and their walkers, and people that love seeing happy babies (Emily is one of them!). We enjoy having the opportunity to do so many things like: having a beach day, going skiing in the winter, checking out a festival in Downtown LA, seeing live entertainment, and enjoying the Parade of Roses every New Year’s Day. We really take advantage of being outside and enjoy the place we live.
Our home is warm and cozy. Ricardo is very crafty and loves DIY projects that keep making our home look amazing. Every season, he is inspired to keep our home fresh and the holidays festive. We enjoy having friends and family over, the more memories we create together the more it feels like home.
As parents, we value individuality and the beauty of diversity. In our home, differences are not just accepted but celebrated. We're advocates for open communication and a nurturing environment where everyone feels comfortable being their authentic selves, and we encourage each other to pursue our passions and dreams.
We are so thankful for the opportunity to just be considered! You have a HUGE decision in front of you and it is a choice only you can make. We want to thank you for your courage and consideration. We—and all adoptive parents—understand that you’ll make the right decision for what is best. Thank you!
