Hello! We are Jaime and Mike from the San Francisco Bay Area. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know a little more about us!

The decision you are facing is probably one of the most difficult things you’re ever going to do in your life and we respect your bravery for considering a different path for your child. It’s because of that bravery and the love you have for this child that our dream of becoming parents is more of a reality than ever before. We hope that through this profile you will learn about us and see that we are here to give this child an amazing full life filled with love and opportunity.

We are a fun, loving, & active couple who met over 6 years ago in the Bay Area. We both knew it was love at first bite as we sat on a curb eating tacos during a street fair! You can usually find us enjoying live music, playing ping pong or dominoes, going to sporting events, or riding bikes and hiking trails behind our house. The first vacation we ever went on as a couple was up to the Russian River where Mike jokingly said he knew where telephone poles came from after seeing his first redwood tree.

Exploring places around Northern California is one of our favorite things to do together. We have learned so much about each other over the years and feel the key to a successful marriage is honesty, compassion, and love. We look forward to raising our family with these same values.

Jaime is the most kind, caring and thoughtful person that I have ever met. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Jaime is a talker, which is good because I’m more on the quiet side. She has a solid group of friends and is a great auntie to their little ones. She has always talked of raising a family, so when we found out a traditional pregnancy was unlikely, we both knew that adoption was the answer to make our family complete. Jaime is the director of a children’s center, where she oversees 150 kids everyday. She is as prepared to be a mom as you can be!

Mike always brightens up my day. I love how he makes me laugh first thing when I wake up in the morning. He is kind, thoughtful, and a goof all at the same time. He’s got some of the best dance moves even if there are only 4! Mike moved to the Bay Area about 7 years ago for work. St. Louis’ loss was my win! We met right after he moved here so we’ve had the best time exploring CA.

Our home is perfect for a child to have room to play and grow. We have a large yard perfect for BBQ’s, games, and running around in. Our neighborhood is a dream! We moved out of our condo in Oakland so that we have a place with more room for our family. Being closer to friends and their families was also a huge selling point. We wanted our kids to grow up together. The other perk is that we live about 10 minutes from where Jaime runs a child care center. The center is on an elementary school campus where Jaime grew up. We want our family to be a part of this community so that we can always give the gift of time to each other. It’s really important to us that we keep our family as our number 1 priority.

Villa Grande is our home away from home! We spend a lot of our time there with Jaime’s family. Villa Grande is a sweet little community on the Russian River, where Jaime’s parents live. A fun place to enjoy the beach, kayak, paddle board, and float on the river. It’s a little like stepping back into time. Where neighbors know and care for each other, friends stop by for visits, and everyone is welcome. A place where impromptu weekend BBQ’s and potlucks are common. We can’t wait to include our growing family in the fun!

We are so lucky to have an amazing group of friends and family that make up our tribe. Geographically we’re spread out all over the U.S. so we make it a point to spend time with one another.

We realize how lucky we are to have the opportunity to travel as much as we do to see everyone. Jaime comes from a blended family that has always had an open arms policy for everyone. Growing up friends always came on family vacations since her step brothers were so much younger than her. In our family we value the moments we spend together. Mike learned early on that family was a package deal. Our 3rd date we went to a Giant’s game with Jaime’s parents! Mike’s family lives in Kansas City and Missouri so we don’t get to see them as much but they love to come visit us in California.

Jaime rescued Milo as an older dog about 7 years ago. After our first walk there was no question about it he was meant for us! You can catch Milo sun bathing in the backyard, chasing squirrels, and playing catch with his shark; favorite stuffy. Our family and friends are definitely dog lovers so Milo’s always been surrounded by other dogs and children. He’s the sweetest most gentle love in the world.

In our home you will always be spoken about with respect, love and gratitude. This little one already has so many people that love and support them.
