Hello! We are Tiffany, Jason, and Penelope from Kansas City, Missouri. We are beyond grateful and excited to welcome you to our adoption profile. Thank you for considering us as potential adoptive parents for your precious child. As you take this remarkable journey, we hope to provide you with a glimpse into our lives, values, and the love we have to offer.
Dear Birth Mother...
Our Thoughts on Adoption
Early on in our relationship we were both interested in adoption. When we were ready to start a family of our own we struggled with fertility issues and it was not even a hesitation of what to do next, adoption was the clear answer for us. We were so fortunate (and surprised) to get pregnant and have Penelope, but our desire to adopt never wavered and we are still just as committed to the process.
Our Story
We met in 2007 through mutual friends, but didn’t start dating until 2012. Early on we knew this was something special. Within 6 months of dating Tiffany had a great job opportunity in Chicago so we moved from Kansas City to Chicago. Fast forward to March of 2015 when we got married and later that year moved to Rhode Island. We love Rhode Island and intend to move back someday, but for right now we enjoy living in Kansas City, Missouri. This time for Jason’s job, and to be close to our immediate families. It has been great for our daughter Penelope to spend time with the grandparents and cousins.
Who We Are as a Family
Our mornings are get up, get ready, eat a quick breakfast and head out the door for school drop off. Our evenings involve playing with toys, making dinner, watching a cartoon or two, and then reading books to Penelope as she falls asleep. A typical weekend would involve doing a project on the house, grocery shopping, playing, and definitely making time for a playground visit. We always make time to do fun things. Sometimes it’s fishing sometimes it’s the trampoline park, but whatever it is, we do it as a family.
We are excited to incorporate the interests of our future child into our fun weekend adventures.
Our Travels
Our favorite experience so far, was seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland. Each year we are trying to travel somewhere new like Orlando for Disney World or Washington DC to see the White House.
We are looking forward to many more travel adventures with Penelope and our future child.
Get to Know Tiffany, by Tiffany
I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri with my mom and younger brother. I find every time I write something I stop and delete it. The reality is my brother and I were raised by a single mother and she didn’t make a lot of money, so we had a lot of help from other relatives. We didn’t get to do a lot of “extras” growing up, but we never went without the essentials. My grandpa and one of my uncles were the main emotional and financial support for my mom. Sadly, all three of them are gone now, but the love and nurturing my brother and I received from them was priceless. Becoming a mother myself and being able to provide a life for my family that does offer the opportunity for “extras” (and then some) makes me even more grateful to become an adoptive mother.
I went to college in Indiana and moved back home to Kansas City after graduation. For work, I am a Nonprofit Executive and have done that for 17 years. All 17 years have been with organizations that help the youth in my community. I’ve enjoyed getting to move for my work and that is how we ended up in Chicago and then Rhode Island.
I loved living in Rhode Island and being close to the beach and the food truck scene was fantastic! Now we’re back in Kansas City for Jason’s job and I’m enjoying working part time. I work while Penelope is in preschool. When Penelope is out of school we like to go on little adventures like getting ice cream or walking through Target.
About Tiffany, By Jason
Tiffany is one of the and patient and loving mothers I have ever met. I am truly blessed to be with somebody as strong as she is. She loves meeting new people and is usually the social butterfly of the two of us. Wherever we go she always seems to know somebody and can start a conversation with anyone. She is never afraid to step in and help out with DIY projects around the house. She even loves painting and drywall work!

I grew up in Wichita, Kansas with my older brother and our two wonderful parents who still live there today. I had a very active childhood playing baseball, running cross-country and track, and bowling on the weekends. These days, I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy spending time kayaking in the ocean and rock climbing. When I am not outside enjoying nature I love design and building new things. Recently we have started renovating our house and I have been doing a lot of the construction work.
I have had several different professions over the years from working in restaurants to being a regional sales manager in the outdoor industry. Now, I have taken my love for problem solving and building things and turned that into a career in design.
About Jason, by Tiffany
Jason is a kind, thoughtful, patient, and adventurous person. He enjoys all types of activities like rock climbing, sky diving, fishing and DIY projects around the house. He has definitely taught me new skills and pushed me to be more adventurous; though sky diving isn’t something I’m ready for just yet.
He is so smart and enjoys learning new things. Many of his stories start with “I was listening to this podcast...”. It has become a little bit of a joke in our house to say, “did you hear that on a podcast?”. I love his passion for wanting to learn and grow and evolve to be the best version of himself. Jason is an amazing father and I can’t wait for him to share that love with another child. He is truly one of my favorite people.

Get to Know Penelope
Penelope is a happy, funny, and independent kid! So independent that she has picked her own nickname, so we call her Poppy. She likes to go on walks, check on our garden, read, and ride her many bikes. Penelope understands that being a big sister is a big job and is really looking forward to it.
Home Sweet Home
We live in a great neighborhood where we know our neighbors and we have block parties.
There are 5 houses on our street and we know each family and even the neighbors behind us. It’s a diverse neighborhood, in all aspects. There are two elementary schools within a 3-4 minute drive. We have multiple parks and walking/biking trails nearby. The library is just a few minutes away and they have story time each week.
Our house is currently a two bedroom with one bathroom and we’ve done some renovations to make it more functional for our family. Since we like DIY projects we are currently building out a third bedroom and second bathroom. We recently started renovating our backyard and have added a two level garden with lots of fruits and veggies!
Our Loved Ones
We are very close with our families, you will find many of them at our house on Sundays when we host brunch! We love spending time with our nieces and nephews and they are excited to welcome another cousin into the family.
While living in Rhode Island, and away from our immediate families, we created a Chosen Family! We have Auntie Megan and Uncle Dan who we did everything with. We had beach days together, went apple picking, celebrated holidays and birthdays, and more. They adore Penelope and are so supportive of our decision to pursue adoption.
We Promise To...
- Unconditionally love our children no matter what
- Be there for all the big and little moments
- Provide a stable, safe, and secure home
- Teach our children to be confident, kind and loving
- Laugh and have fun every single day
