Hello! We are Jeff & Lindsay from San Diego, California. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to get to know us. We can only begin to imagine how difficult and frightening this decision is. You are courageous and selfless! Your incredible decision to consider an adoption plan for your child means the addition to our family we’ve been longing for, which means more to us than you could possibly know. We are excited to get to know you and are open to any level of openness you feel comfortable with. We are honored at the opportunity to raise your child and hope our journey as parents will provide you with a sense of peace. We are committed to providing your child with a nurturing supportive environment filled with unconditional love and encouragement. We cannot wait to be parents!
Dear Birth Mother...
Why We're Adopting
For both of us, our vision to create a family together has always involved adoption. Our dream is to become parents and create a stable, nurturing, and loving home for our child. We have struggled with infertility, but have always known that we wanted to adopt and now is the time! We’re confident that we will provide a secure, caring, and accepting home where your child can flourish and be happy.
We’re thrilled to be on this adoption journey! The idea of expanding our family fills us with excitement and anticipation. We are eager to meet the newest member of the family and embark on all the wonderful adventures that lie ahead.
Our Story
We first met through mutual friends and have been inseparable ever since. We like to joke that Jeff moved in on our second date, but really it wasn’t much longer after that.
We got engaged 2 years after we met and married the following year. Eleven years later, we are still inseparable and each other’s favorite person.
We consistently evolve and learn through our shared experiences and we complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses in a way that makes us better individuals and a stronger couple. We are supportive of each other’s choices and aspirations, confront difficult challenges as a team, and are each other’s biggest advocates.
About Jeff, by Jeff
Hi, I'm Jeff. I grew up in Placerville, California and am ecstatic at the opportunity to become a father. I am currently enlisted in the Navy and have had a highly successful career, including three deployments and an overseas tour. In 2022, I was selected to Chief Petty Officer and am fortunate to be in a position in my career that will keep me home for the foreseeable future. While on active duty, I earned my degree in International Politics from Penn State University.
I have a passion for sports, avidly following my favorite teams. Go Braves and Steelers! I grew up playing baseball and continued into my late 20s. I was a volunteer coach for a Little League team and absolutely loved that experience. I can’t wait to coach again. I love golf and seize every opportunity to play. I enjoy painting and being creative and often have a home project to work on that challenges my skills and experience. I’m excited for parenthood and look forward to the opportunity to teach and guide my future child towards becoming the best version of themselves.

About Jeff, by Lindsay
Jeff is patient, optimistic, caring, and kind and I’ve never heard him utter a negative word about anyone. He is always there to listen when I have a bad day and he gives the best hugs. He is not just my best friend but also a wonderful husband who inspires me to be the best version of myself. If asked, he will say that I am the weirdest, but he’s pretty silly and we love being silly together.
He has never met a pun he didn’t like, just ask him what he thinks of the South of France. He enjoys home renovation projects and is extremely determined. Even if he isn’t quite sure how to conquer a project, he will always figure it out and succeed.
Jeff is a devoted and enthusiastic sports fan, whether cheering from the sidelines or actively participating in various sports. His knowledge of players and statistics is extensive, making him the go-to person for sports related conversations.

Hi, I’m Lindsay. I grew up in Santa Monica, California and I cannot wait to be a mom. I work in marketing and social media for a health food company and practice interior design on the side. I specialize in residential remodeling, utilizing my interior design degree from San Diego State. I recently earned my paralegal certificate in hopes of joining a firm specializing in civil rights and social justice. I am also a huge animal lover and advocate.
I love books and dedicate time to reading each morning and night. I can’t wait to read to our future child and open their imagination to the wonderful world of literature! I love to cook and bake and I take pride in making nutritious and ever-changing dinner menus weekly. I enjoy anything that encourages creativity, from crafts, to home projects, and organizing. I have a beautiful vision for our child’s bedroom and am beyond excited to start this project. I look forward to watching our child grow and sharing my creative passions. About Lindsay, by Jeff
Lindsay is truly remarkable. She does something every day that impresses me and I’m so lucky to have her in my life. She’s creative, loyal, down to earth, an animal lover, and the most loving and empathetic person I’ve ever met. She’s an amazing cook and loves to host dinner parties, where she showcases her latest extravagant recipes. She lives a very healthy and active lifestyle, doing Pilates and kickboxing.
Lindsay loves planning creative ways to spend time together, like recreating a picnic we had in Paris under the Eiffel Tower. Everything was so thoughtful and purposeful. When I’ve had to be away for work, she’s ensured I felt the comforts of home and found ways for us to celebrate holidays together. She created a weekly newsletter during my last deployment that highlighted her and our dog, Badger’s, week and kept me connected with everything at home. It was the high point of my week and put the biggest smile on my face.
She’s the love of my life, my best friend, and she will be the most amazing mother.

Our Hobbies
In our free time we enjoy playing games, including cards, board games, and pickleball. Lindsay, an exceptional cook, and Jeff, her sous chef, collaborate to prepare healthy dinners almost every night. Lindsay is also a fantastic baker, often keeping the house stocked with delicious desserts.
Jeff is a big sports fan and an avid golfer who tries to sneak in a round of golf every couple of weeks. While Jeff is on the golf course, you will most likely find Lindsay curled up with our dog, Badger, engrossed in a book. Jeff also stays busy working on various home improvement projects that Lindsay designs.
Our Interests
We enjoy staying active, traveling, and exploring our city. Jeff starts his morning before work in the gym while Lindsay takes a variety of workout classes from home. Jeff joins her on the weekends for kickboxing. In the evenings and weekends, we take walks around the neighborhood with our dog and love to venture out in town to explore some of our favorite neighborhoods.
We love to travel, explore different places, and learn about other cultures. We’re constantly looking forward to our next trip, and we try to make sure there’s at least one vacation in the works.
Our Home
We live in a spacious and bright 3-bedroom house in San Diego. Our neighborhood is cozy, diverse, and full of loving neighbors and young kids. Our home is seasonally decorated and music is always being played throughout. We love our backyard which gets incredible sunsets and smells of mint, lavender, and basil from our garden. One of our favorite spots in our home is the two window seats that are perfect for curling up with a cup of tea and reading a good book. We look forward to cozying up and reading stories together as a family.
In the early evenings, we enjoy walks with Badger around the neighborhood where we run into other families. We are within walking distance of a park that has playgrounds, walking trails, plenty of room to run, and a baseball field. We are a short drive to the beach, museums, library, zoos, and aquarium. We often have a home project to work on or are thinking of our next creative venture.
Our home allows us to host family dinners, game nights, and movie nights.
Meet Badger
Badger is our beloved 17-year-old toy maltese. He is smart, has a heart of gold, and loves spending time with his humans.
Some of his favorite things include watermelon, broccoli, snuggles, fuzzy blankets, and sunbathing in our backyard. We regularly take him on walks around the neighborhood, or to his favorite lake where he can see different animals and smell new flowers. He is wonderful with children, giving them gentle kisses, and receptive to kids petting him.
We have a dream to one day publish a series of children’s books based on Badger and his adventures. Themes would be fun, inspiring, and educational and we can’t wait to see it come to fruition.
Our Loved Ones
We are fortunate that all of our parents live within 90 minutes of us. Jeff’s parents and sister are 6 minutes away and are incredibly caring and helpful. Jeff’s dad is often at our house lending a hand with our home projects. Jeff is the third of four kids and has a large family of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, most of whom live throughout Southern California.
Lindsay is an only child but has a sisterly bond with her cousin in Colorado, whom we visit yearly. Lindsay’s mom lives 15 minutes away. She is loving and encouraging and we see her weekly. She is getting tons of babysitting practice by watching “her grandson” Badger when we go on trips or have long days away from home. Lindsay’s dad is understanding and supportive. He splits his time between Orange County and New York City. We get together monthly and visit New York yearly.
We gather with our family regularly for dinners and celebrations. We have close, reliable friends with enduring bonds. We can always count on our family and friends for support and comforting words. They are all overjoyed and can’t wait to meet our future child!
Family Traditions
The holiday season is our favorite time of year and we love to host gatherings with family and friends. Our house always smells incredible from the homemade seasonal baked goods and we go all out with decorating to ensure our house is festive. We make homemade pancakes almost every Sunday morning.
We love playing games and are eager to establish a new tradition every Friday night, complete with homemade food and games that involve our child and family. We look forward to the future when our child invites their friends to join us.
Our Promise
We will love your baby unconditionally, treat their ideas with respect, and encourage them to learn and love openly in order to become their best versions. We will always support them when they need help, guide them when they are unsure, encourage them when they are scared, and lend an attentive ear when they need someone to listen.
We promise to honor their roots by telling their birth story and speaking of you often; we understand the importance of identity and knowing where one comes from. We want you to be part of your child’s life if this is what you desire. We’re open and happy to share pictures, stories, and celebrations with you. Your child will be surrounded by people who love them and want to see them succeed in every venture. They will travel, eat nutritious homemade meals, and have opportunities to find their passion. As you make this difficult decision, we hope you’re supported and cared for, and that you find peace knowing your child will be well taken care of.
In Closing
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your consideration and taking the time to get to know us. Your strength and selflessness are truly admirable as you navigate this challenging decision. Your generosity will make us a family and we are forever grateful! We promise to create a supportive, nurturing, and loving home in an environment where your child can thrive. We deeply appreciate your trust in us. We promise to love your child endlessly and tell them every day that they are not only loved by us but by you as well. We can’t wait to meet you and hear your story!
