We are grateful you have decided to see if we are a good fit as adoptive parents to your child. We are excited you have decided to learn more about us and look forward to learning more about you as well!

We have been hoping to start a family for many years while struggling with infertility. Family is extremely important to us and we have always dreamed of being parents. We have a small extended family and a close-knit group of friends to support us through this experience. We are very excited to embark upon our adoption journey.

We have been married for 13 years. We first met in high school while working together at our local Dairy Queen, developing a strong friendship over ice cream. A few years later we began dating and have been together ever since. We have bonded over our mutual sense of humor, values, and adventurous spirits. We love being active, serving in our community, having get-togethers with our friends and neighbors, and spending time with family. We love to cook and try new recipes, travel, and experience all the amazing things life has to offer.

I am a Registered Nurse and I love helping people through my work. Laughing and music are my favorite things in the world. I usually have music playing in the background at all times. I am very active and enjoy outdoor activities, exploring new places when traveling, and trying new food. Baking is my favorite hobby and I often find inspiration watching different baking and cooking shows. The Great British Bake Off is my go-to show for ideas. I try to find joy in the little things, such as the endless license plate game Justin and I always play while driving and trying out new coffee shops while we travel across the country. I love reading, gardening, and home renovation projects.

Family and my close friends are very important to me, and I really cherish the time I am able to spend with them. I often dream about sharing my interests, most importantly music and baking, with our future child.

Rachael is an amazing person who has a warm, nurturing personality. She is hardworking and caring. She has a wonderful ability to connect with children making them feel loved and protected.

Rachael embraces relationships with a giant hug. She loves to laugh, to play, and on many occasions; to snuggle. Rachael is the most loving, protective, and empathetic person I know. She always prioritizes family and relationships, but takes time for herself listening to music all over the house while she cooks and bakes.

I love how she can read me like a book, she seems to always know what I need, and enjoys being able to support me and our family.

She has an insane love for extra spicy food. I once tried to eat one of her spicy salsas and I thought I was going to ignite. She could probably eat lava if she wanted to!

I am a fun and energetic person who loves to do activities outdoors. I love spending time with my beautiful wife doing all sorts of amazing things. Family is the most important thing to me and is reflected in my commitment and effort I put in those I love around me. I have many hobbies and activities such as woodworking, martial arts, and playing sports such as baseball, football, and soccer. I love going to the gym, watching sports, working on cars, and anything outdoors.

I have a wonderful job that I really enjoy which allows me a lot of flexibility to balance work and life. A lot of my family considers me a renaissance man which has translated into love for listening and teaching others. I work with young children teaching martial arts and guiding young adults in their future. I am really excited to be able to love, teach, and nurture our future child.

Justin is an extremely thoughtful, caring, and smart man. He has a very kind and conscientious personality. He is always willing to take the time to listen, to understand, and to teach. He is fun, he loves to laugh and play games with friends and family, and our nieces adore him. Justin especially loves to teach children.

He volunteers in the community and finds joy in teaching high school age kids self defense and martial arts. He has become a mentor and great friend to a young man who is now a senior in college. Their friendship began when Justin became his boxing coach. We now consider him a huge part of our family.

He is adventurous when it comes to trying new foods, recipes, exploring a new town, and when trying out new activities like zip lining. He always can tell when I need a hug, an empathetic ear, or simply food! He is the best partner a girl could ask for and I cannot imagine life without him.

We both love to travel, often taking short trips with our Labrador Emi. We love to explore national parks, new towns, and museums. We enjoy trying new restaurants, foods, and flavors. We both enjoy cooking together and trying new recipes, working out at the gym, hiking, growing a vegetable garden and reading.

Justin enjoys practicing martial arts and woodworking, and he is always up for making my vision for furniture and home improvements come to life. Justin loves to watch football and finds it to be one of his favorite ways to relax with his friends.

Rachael really enjoys baking new recipes, she is often inspired by baking shows or recipes found in magazines. Justin thinks she is an amazing cook and sometimes lovingly complains that he has to spend extra time in the gym because he can't stop eating her cooking. She is always listening to a wide variety of music from classic rock to current pop music and most everything in between such as Led Zeppelin's Tangerine to Meghan Trainor's Made You Look.

We live in the greater Sacramento area in California with all of our core family and friends local to us. We are about 2 hours from almost every activity you can think of: the mountains and snow, the beach, the redwood forests, Gold Country, the list goes on. We have zoos, parks, farm to fork restaurants, kids’ activities, and community events all over.

We are really looking forward to experiencing the annual Christmas festivals held in Nevada City and Grass Valley as new parents. During the summer there are community events like movie night in the park, and outdoor craft and food fairs to explore. We hope to impart our sense of adventure and enjoying new experiences with your child.

Emi is the most amazing family dog. She loves everyone, especially children, and will be your best friend if you throw her ball. Seriously this dog’s life revolves around her tennis ball. She is extremely gentle with our nieces and our friends’ toddlers. She loves to snuggle in our lap and swim in the pool whenever possible. She goes almost everywhere with us and is a great companion.

Family has always been the most important part of our lives. Ever since we got married we have always wanted children in our family. We embrace honesty, critical thinking, and supporting a child to be themselves; secure, independent, creative and curious. We would love to be able continue our family adventures with a child and to pass on our family traditions such as weekly game night, cooking and baking, exploring new places, and a love for travel.

We have dinner and play games weekly with our parents. We play the card game pinochle every week with our parents. This has been long standing tradition on both sides of our families, a tradition we hope to continue with our child.

We have a close-knit group of friends and neighbors that we get together most weeks. Justin has a group of guys that he gets together with every Monday night to hang out with for guys night. We have quarterly neighborhood parties around holidays such as Independence Day and Easter. Our gatherings consist of food, games, and fun.

We are a Christian household that attends church every Sunday. We love getting together for church events such as food drives, local community services projects, and doing what we can to make our community the best it can be.
