Hello, from Santa Fe Springs, California! We are Khanh and Tien. First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us. We are honored to have you consider us for such an important role in your child's life. We know that this is an extremely difficult decision made from 100% love and hope for your child's future. We promise, if given the chance, to continue with the same love and hope. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we will always cherish how we were given the gift of being parents. Our ultimate goal is to raise this child into a kind, happy, well-rounded, and especially loved human being. We are so excited for all the joyful times that lie ahead, and we can't wait to become parents!

If our story were a book, it would honestly be the beginning of a fairytale. We have been beyond blessed in life and are always so grateful for all we have. We both come from supportive, loving, and close-knit families. We are fortunate to have fulfilling careers that we love. We also have been blessed with a deep bond and strong marriage. We’ve been in love since we were teenagers and our dedication has never wavered in all these years. But there has been one important thing missing in our lives, and that has been a child of our own. We have struggled with infertility for 12 years. As everyone has struggles in life, this was just ours. We believe in our hearts that all of these struggles in the past have brought us to our decision to adopt.

We have been happily married for 14 years. As teens, we began seeing each other as more than friends after a Chemistry tutoring session (no surprise that Khanh is now a Chemistry teacher). Our first date was at Chuck E Cheese, where we still go yearly to celebrate our first date anniversary. After college, we got married in the same church we met at. Now, we are rarely apart and enjoy being together for life’s big moments and the small ones. We fill our free time with the simple things in life, like walks with our dog, game nights, cooking dinner, walking the pier, or just winding down with Netflix. We are big on family and friends, and regularly have dinner and outings with them. These are the things that bring us the most joy. We have learned that the small moments are what make a happy life.

I am honest, kind, compassionate, responsible, hardworking, and trustworthy. I will always go out of my way to help and support my loved ones.

I am excited about being a parent because I want to share every blessing I have in my life with my child. I will love them unconditionally and with every fiber of my being. I can’t wait to grow through life with them. As a teacher, the shorter work days and summers off guarantee that I can be around for my child. I will be able to show them everything that is good in the world and help shield them from all the bad. Even after they are old enough to stand up on their own, I will still be there to encourage, love, and protect them. They will always have me and Khanh in their corner, and my child will never feel alone in this world. I also want to teach them how important it is to be respectful, kind, and compassionate in this world, but at the same time, I want to raise them to be curious strong-willed, and confident. My child will be surrounded by love and with this support, I have no doubt they will grow into an amazing person.

My wife Tien is beautiful inside and out. She amazes me daily. Even after 14 years of marriage, she is still so patient with me and our dog Wowo (even when I’m distracted by football or if Wowo chews on her favorite pair of shoes)! Tien is the most loving and compassionate person that I know in my life. She is thoughtful and empathetic to everyone she encounters, especially those who are struggling.

She is a strong support system for her friends and family and they all know that they can always count on her. She constantly strives to be the best wife, sister, friend, dog mom, co-worker, and educator. One of her greatest qualities is to attract good people into her life and maintain great relationships. She values relationships and nurtures them so they stay strong. I have a strong belief that her positive, caring, and loving personality will continue to attract more good people into our lives. This will make her a great mom to our child, and will greatly benefit our child’s life. This child’s village will definitely be surrounded by many kind and good people.

I am a kind, loyal, honest, and dedicated person. I would do anything to help my family, friends, and students.

I love my life and enjoy being an educator. I find great joy in working with my high school students, helping them grow socially, emotionally, and academically. It makes me so proud and happy when I see that they are doing well in life. I want to extend this to our home with my own child. I want to guide them and protect them in life. I hope to be a role model to my child and instill in them respect, kindness and dedication. I want to nurture whatever they are passionate about and encourage them to follow their dreams. I want to help them create a happy and fulfilled life. Also, it wouldn’t be bad to have a partner to enjoy sports with. I’m going to start them young. We are going to have a blast enjoying games at home and in person. Let’s go Lakers!!!

My husband Khanh is a calming, patient, and loving presence in my life. I am so lucky to have a partner like him. Our relationship has always been easy and I’ve always felt safe and loved with him.

One incident that is a shining example of what kind of person Khanh is happened when my older sister was suddenly diagnosed with cancer. Everyone in our family was devastated and scared, but Khanh was my rock and he supported me and made me feel like things would be ok. He also stayed in Louisiana after I had to leave so that he could help drive my nieces to the hospital daily while my sister recovered. He never complained the entire time, and helped because that is the person he is. My sister made it through and is 7 years cancer free! I’m so glad I had his support because I don’t know how I would have made it through without him. We grew up together, became best friends, and he is my greatest love. There would be no other person I would want to go through this journey with, and I wholeheartedly believe he is going to be the best dad to our child.

We absolutely love our cozy home but we love our community even more. We have friendly neighbors who bring over plates of food whenever they have gatherings, or just stop by on their walks to say hello. Our gated community is quiet and safe and an ideal environment to raise a child. Our community is full of families and children. We have a playground steps from our home, a community park, a community pool, jacuzzi, barbecue stations, and a basketball court. The community also hosts kid friendly events such as ice cream socials, Santa coming to visit the neighborhood, fake snow for the kids to play in, and even a Halloween parade for the children of the neighborhood. We also live in an amazing location that is very close to our parents, family, and friends. Our support system is just around the corner if we ever need anything. It’s also a diverse community where everyone is welcomed and respected. We live just a close drive to the beach or the mountains. We are also avid theme park goers, as Knott’s Berry Farm and Disneyland are both a short 15 minutes away from us. It’s going to be a blast taking our child to see Mickey Mouse!

We have a little dog named Wowo. We have had him since he was 8 weeks old and the size of a tennis ball. He is 14 years old now and he only has 5 teeth left, but he still has the spirit of a young pup. We love him to pieces even though he can be a little naughty at times. Even after a long day of work, walking him and playing with him erases all the worries and tiredness of the day.

We are extremely family oriented. Both of our parents are immigrants from Vietnam and were refugees who fled the War. Our parents have all worked extremely hard so that we could have a better life. This work ethic and mindset of always pushing to better yourself is a cornerstone of our values. Collectively, we have 7 nieces (2 who we are Godparents to) and 2 nephews. They are the light in our lives. With many couples who experience infertility, we have found great joy in being an uncle and aunt. We love taking the children to amusement parks, out to eat, the mall, the park, or movies. We spend as much time as we can with these little humans and young adults because we love these kids so very much. When mom and dad need a night off, they know who to call because we are always up to babysit. Our future child will have many cousins to play and grow up with. This child will be adored beyond measure, especially by the two sets of grandparents who are both retired and fighting over who will get to babysit more. There is always a family event going on such as a birthday dinner, or a graduation.

Our village is filled with joy, fun, and great gatherings and our entire family is so ready to welcome this new member. Our absolute favorite holiday is Christmas. This is our favorite holiday because it embodies the spirit of love, togetherness, and joy. It's a time when our families come together, exchange gifts, and create cherished memories. It’s magical to watch the little ones meeting Santa, opening all of their presents, and playing with them until they can’t keep their eyes open anymore. It's a time when we can focus on the simple pleasures of spending time with loved ones, making it truly the most wonderful time of the year.

Your child is everything that we have prayed for and will be the greatest blessing of our lives. We promise to love and support them throughout their lifetime. The world can be scary and really difficult at times, but your child will never have to worry that they are alone in it. We will be there to wipe away any tears, we’ll go to every one of their events, be their loudest cheerleader, and teach them everything that we have learned. We will teach your child how to be kind, compassionate, and honest. At the same time we’ll let them be curious and explore so that they can become brave and self-confident. There are so many things we want to share with your child from our love of music to our love of sports. Know that they will have the best formal education, but we also want to travel the world with them so they can learn about the amazing people and cultures throughout the world. We want to give them the happiest childhood surrounded by family and friends. Our home will always be a safe place for your child because it will be full of joy, laughter, and most of all love.
