Hello! We are Luca and Jai from Newbury Park, California! We are so ecstatic to begin this new journey with you! Thank you for looking at our story and considering us to be your child's parents. We've dreamt of this moment since the day we fell in love (which just so happens to be the day we met), so our hearts are overflowing with joy as we build our family with love and care. We can't claim to know how this decision feels for you, but we promise to offer support, comfort and understanding, in whatever form you may want or need. We already know you are strong, have a big heart and love our future child as much as we already do. We can't wait to know you more and share in the excitement of your pregnancy journey!

We met during the pandemic. Luca needed a good friend, Jai was ready to leave California. We fell for each other immediately. We spent 50 hours together the first week sharing our entire lives. It wasn’t long until we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We moved in together 5 months later, got engaged on our 1 year anniversary, bought a family home, and married a year and a half later. Over all this time, life has tested us in ways we never expected. From all of our experiences, we’ve only become happier, more connected, and stronger than before. We built our relationship from a solid foundation of communication, love, and respect.

During all this time, we’ve seamlessly aligned on how we intend to parent through countless conversations and made every decision with the happiness of our future family in mind.

We believe love makes a family. When determining how best to expand our family, we were moved by the friends and family whose lives were forever changed because of adoption, even Jai’s mother was adopted! The love that surrounds us every single day is all thanks to the process of adoption.

We are positive that adoption is the most authentic choice for us as it is perfectly aligns with our values and wishes.

Hi there! I’m Luca. I was born and raised in Bologna, Italy, with my older brother. Growing up, I was always surrounded by culture: world-renowned food, architecture, astounding performances and works of art, something I value and will share with future children. At the age of 15 I moved to the U.S. and completed high school in Boston, before studying art therapy at Bennington College in Vermont. I love animals! After college, I worked as an emergency veterinary technician. I eventually shifted gears, went back to school, and became a Neuromuscular massage therapist. I love my career and get to work with people of all ages and walks of life (children, NFL players, pregnant mothers, etc.) helping reduce pain and improve quality of life. I love to stay active all days of the week, whether it be in the gym or out in nature.

I am deeply empathetic and understanding. I love to love and show it to every being I meet. I am always happy to listen to anyone non judgmentally, with an open mind and heart. I have been told I am also a great hugger!

Luca is a true, charismatic empath, making every person he comes into contact with feel included, seen, and heard. He is the kind of person who invents a new pool game so all our elementary-aged cousins can play together without anyone being left out and stops on the side of the road to provide an unhoused person with food for their dog. Luca pours love into those around him, expecting nothing in return. He’s also hilarious without even trying, especially when he misuses American colloquialisms (further proof that he was born and raised in Italy.) He leans in to his silly side which keeps our home full of laughs and our dogs thoroughly amused! With every pet we acquire and every new friend he makes, Luca’s capacity for love only grows. He has more love to give than anyone I’ve ever met.

Hello! I’m Jai. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Maryland and ever since I can remember I wanted to be a parent. Even in my early years sitting in my horse themed room, giving names and personalities to all my marbles, and throughout the years as I became a shy sweater vest-wearing middle schooler, then finding my confidence via theater and all that followed... I always dreamt of creating a family infused with all the freedom, adventure, and love that children deserve. I’ve consistently been described as nurturing, expressive, creative, and astute. Throughout college, grad school, and in to my career as a Talent Agent, I’ve leaned into these descriptors and consciously built a life for myself. Now, I am so appreciative of the roots my husband and I have sowed: a family home, loving dogs, a strong community of friends and family, and a marriage based on true love.

I am excited to love our future child unconditionally, provide them with endless resources, and continue making choices that support their happiness!

Jai is hands down the most remarkable person I have met. He is kind-hearted, patient and really goes the extra mile to care for others. As a natural born caretaker, he’s effortlessly nursed each one of the dogs back to health after hospital visits. He’s also shamelessly silly, and you can tell when he is the only one laughing at his jokes! Or when he belts his heart out to whatever song is in his head while making breakfast and dancing like no one is watching. He connects with every person he meets, whether it is a neighborhood kid gushing to him about a cartoon or his employers, who trust him so much so that he has reached levels of success in such a short period of time that is unheard of in his industry (talent agency). He isn’t afraid to be himself and he would do anything to keep our family happy and healthy!

We carefully searched for the perfect place to start our family and raise our future children, ensuring it was extremely safe and had a stellar school district. We fell in love with Newbury Park, a beautiful Southern California suburb. We adore the abundance of nature surrounding where we live. We are nestled in the mountains and the beach is just a small drive away. There are countless reasons we love it: hiking trails behind our house that lead to the Santa Monica Mountains State Park, community parks on every corner with the coolest playgrounds we’ve laid eyes on, an abundance of nearby Equestrian centers/ranches (We love to go on trail rides on the weekends.) Our community is one of religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity. Our area is also home to some of the best sports and arts facilities in the country. We bought our dream home: a modern 5 bedroom home with a large, lush garden. We are thrilled to say we are even transforming one of the largest rooms into a thoughtfully designed playroom, right next to the nursery.

We are dedicated to making our home the ideal space for our future child. The first day we met is also the first day that Jai became a dog dad, immediately embracing Luca’s rescue puppy Nova as his own. Just a month later, we welcomed the second addition to their family: Puddles, another amazing rescue dog. 8 months later, our family grew again! Welcoming our third and final pup, Cupid. Our three dogs are our everything and we are confident they will be the best family dogs. They are so sweet, loyal, cuddly and well trained.

Our families are like peas in a pod. Both loyal, ambitious, hilarious, and full of unconditional love. Our future child will be surrounded by family from great-great grandparents to a bunch of cousins their age! We were always taught to dream big and to shape your own journey hence why in our family we have a trauma surgeon, art curator, architect, EMT firefighter, realtor, college dean, author, plus dentists, CEOs, lawyers! Everyone puts in as much passion into their careers as they do our family. Whether that means flying in and out of state in less than 10 hours to make sure a family member’s wedding isn’t missed or coordinating a family Thanksgiving with 35 people to feed! Our favorite thing is that we do all this not just because we’re a family, we’re a family full of best friends. The effort definitely doesn’t waver when it comes to our village of friends. Everyone on our street knows we’re adopting, told us their best parenting tips, and trust us to watch after their own children to practice! There is essentially a one-call-away policy in our neighborhood for anything and everything. We couldn’t be happier for our future child to have the world at their fingertips and an ever-growing cheer squad supporting them every step of the way.

It means so much and we are honored you felt compelled to learn more about us! We already feel and send a deep love toward you: wherever you may be, whatever you may be doing, whatever emotions you may be feeling at this moment. We know this may be an overwhelming time and would be happy to offer you any kind of support you feel you need. We promise to love our future child unconditionally. There isn’t a single thing about who they are, that they could say, do or be interested in that would change the caliber of our love, it will be forever unwavering. We promise to do everything in our power to make them feel loved, safe, listened to and understood. We will be by their side through any and every emotion, no matter how big or small.

We promise to never stop growing and improving as people and as parents and know that there is nothing we wouldn’t do for the happiness and wellbeing of our future children.
