We are Melissa, Patrick, Matthew, & Bailey from California. We have so much respect for you and the courageous decision that you are making. We admire your selflessness and love that you have for your child. Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us. We are very excited to have the opportunity to share our love and welcome a new baby into our happy family. We are honored that you are considering us as adoptive parents for your precious child.

We absolutely love being parents! We have two biological children, Matthew and Bailey. Due to some complications, Melissa’s doctor stated that it would be too dangerous for her to get pregnant again and have any more children. We were distraught by this news because we always wanted to have a big family. But then, we thought of how amazing it would be to have the chance to adopt a child!

We love being parents and we cherish all the time we get to spend together as a family! We met because we lived in the same apartment complex. Patrick was on the 3rd floor and Melissa lived on the 2nd floor. After five months of dating, we got a Labrador retriever puppy named Peaches. The three of us went on a lot of fun trips together. Patrick proposed by putting a message in a bottle and having Melissa “discover” the bottle in the water when we were on a gondola ride. It was very romantic! We had a beautiful wedding overlooking the ocean.

After a few years of working and traveling, we had our first son, Matthew. Then, four years later, we had our second son, Bailey. After that, we got another Labrador retriever puppy named Libby.

Whether it’s just hanging out at home playing a board game, going to beaches or parks, or going on a fun vacation, we love being together! We can’t wait to welcome another child into our family, so we can continue to grow as a family and make more memories together!

We love sports, so weekday evenings and weekends are busy with watching the kids’ sports activities. We also like to do fun day trips to various places in Southern California. We like to discover new places, like explore a park we’ve never been to or eat at a new restaurant. We also like to go bowling, play miniature golf, and see movies.

Libby is our eleven year old Labrador Retriever. She is a really good dog and she is great with kids. She loves to play fetch with the boys in our backyard. We like to take her with us whenever we go on vacation or just to the park. Easter is one of her favorite holidays because the boys do their egg hunt and she gets to do an Easter dog biscuit hunt. She is very sweet and a great family dog!

Being a mom is my favorite part about life, and I have always wanted to have more kids. I had a great childhood growing up in a suburb of Chicago, and I went to college in Illinois. My college roommate and I decided to move to Southern California because we both were offered a teaching job there. I have taught at the same school for twenty-six years. I currently teach 3rd grade, but I have also taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. My favorite part about my job is seeing how excited the students are when they are having fun learning or doing a cool project. I earned my Master’s Degree in Education, then it was time to start a family. I absolutely love being a mom to our wonderful boys! I was able to take six months off of work after I had each child, and I plan to do the same with the new baby. I love being able to have summers off, and other breaks throughout the year, to do fun activities with the kids. I am excited to have many new experiences with our growing family!

I have always felt that I am so lucky to have Melissa in my life. She is so smart and beautiful. She is always planning fun activities and carrying on great traditions for our family. She loves holidays and I like how she always has our house decorated for all the different holidays. She loves being a mom and she is great at organizing our schedules. We are a busy family with a lot of activities, but we also find time to relax and just hang out together. Melissa is very caring, patient, and understanding. I’ve seen those qualities in her twenty-six years of teaching and her eighteen years of being a mom. I admire those qualities in her and she inspires me. She has such a beautiful smile and I love her so much! I’m very much looking forward to raising another child with her!

I am originally from Philadelphia but I have lived in California for 43 years. I graduated from college, and have worked in the beverage industry doing outside sales and distribution for many years. Currently, I am an account manager and I enjoy my job. One of the good things about my job is that I don’t have to bring my work home. As soon as I am home I get to be with the kids and watch them play their sports. I take pride in helping keep our house maintained. I do a lot of cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping, landscaping, and fixing things. I love playing with the kids and our dog, especially out in our backyard. I am proud of my kids for all they’ve accomplished so far and I would love the opportunity to be a dad to your baby.

When Patrick and I first started dating, he quickly became my best friend. He is very easy to get along with and he can engage in a conversation with anyone. He is also very hard working at his job and at home.

I appreciate that he helps out with a lot of chores around the house and he does most of the cooking. Patrick likes to have family and friends come over for a delicious meal that he made on the grill. I love that he is a great dad! Matthew and Bailey love spending time with him because they just laugh and laugh together. It’s never a dull moment around here with Patrick and the kids! Speaking from experience, Patrick will be a fabulous father to your child, you can count on that!

Bailey is fourteen years old and he is very smart and athletic. He loves playing all the sports that Matthew plays, and he is especially busy with travel baseball. He is outgoing, funny, and creative. He enjoyed being in a leadership group at school. Bailey is thoughtful and loving and he can’t wait to be a big brother!

Matthew is eighteen years old and he is also very smart and athletic. He loves to play baseball, soccer, flag football, basketball, and volleyball. Matthew is very kind and easy going. He goes to California Polytechnic University Pomona and is majoring in civil engineering. He will be living on campus but will be at home most weekends. He works at the nearby recreation center and also has a tutoring job working with kids of all ages. Even though he is older, he is still very much looking forward to being a big brother again!

Shortly after Melissa moved to California, her family also moved here. We are happy that we have some immediate family close by. We are able to get together for birthdays, holidays, and to watch the cousins play sports. Matthew and Bailey enjoy playing with both their older and younger cousins. As a family, we have fun playing board games, ping pong, and whiffle ball games. Gram and Papa love to be involved in their grandchildren’s lives. They only live 45 minutes from us so we get to see them often.

We live in a wonderful community in Southern California. We are an hour from the mountains and an hour from the ocean, so we have many fun outdoor adventures. The schools are awesome and the boys have had a quality education so far. We participate in a variety of community events, especially during different holidays. We live in a great neighborhood that we picked to live in because there is a big park for the kids to play at. We live in a 4 bedroom house, plus we have a bonus room upstairs and a playroom downstairs. We also have a nice patio and a backyard with plenty of space to run around with the dog.

Thank you so much for reading about us. We hope we have given you a glimpse of what our lives are like. Even though we have a happy, busy life, we’ve always felt that our family wasn’t complete. We have always wanted to have more children and we are very appreciative of the opportunity to adopt.
