Hi there! We are Rob and Molly. We currently live in Los Angeles, California, but we both come from close-knit families on the east coast. We are so humbled and grateful that you’re taking the time to get to know us. We truly admire your strength and selflessness, and we hope we can be a supportive and positive part of your journey.

We are so excited to become parents! Our home is already filled with love and laughter, and we can’t wait to share and expand on that by growing our family through adoption.

We have both always dreamed of becoming parents! Molly comes from a large family (some of whom are adopted) and has always envisioned creating a family through adoption. Rob has always wanted to be a dad and, when we started dating, he was immediately supportive of the idea.

We are both very close with our families and hope to raise our children in an equally fun, supportive, and loving home.

We met at bar trivia in Brooklyn, New York in 2018. Rob played regularly and a mutual friend on his team invited Molly to join one night. Let’s just say…Molly crushed it. We came in first place, earning Molly a regular spot on the trivia team. After that, we found every excuse we could to be together. On our first date, Rob cooked dinner, Molly baked dessert, and we watched Veronica Mars and The Bachelor (an interesting combination, but we love them both!). A year later, we moved in together—just in time for the COVID-19 lockdown. Even though we were stuck in a 700-sq.-ft. apartment all day, our shared sense of humor, compatibility, and support for one another helped us make it through—and even enjoy—that time together.

Today, we live in Los Angeles with our puppy, Penny. We still tune into The Bachelor and (more importantly), our home is still full of humor, love, and support.

I’m originally from Pittsburgh, PA (go Pens!). Along with my older brother and sister, I grew up on a cul-de-sac full of kids my age (four of whom are still my closest friends). Our street enjoyed block parties, Easter Egg hunts, and Devil’s Night shenanigans. I so appreciate my upbringing, and I can’t wait to give my kids an equally magical childhood.

After college, I moved to New York for my job as a copywriter. While there, I also pursued my passion for comedy writing by taking classes and writing with sketch comedy groups.

Some of my favorite aspects of LA are the beautiful hiking spots, all of the stand-up and improv comedy shows, and the food scene (I’ve been a vegetarian since high school, so I love how easy it is to find vegetarian options here). I also recently graduated from UCLA’s professional TV writing program and really enjoyed it!

Molly is relentlessly good, often putting others' needs way before her own. She is patient, thoughtful, and makes me better everyday just by being around her. She also has an annoying habit of trying to do my chores right before I’m about to, which is of course very sweet and I think just goes to show how nurturing she is toward the people she loves.

I know Molly will be a great mom because she always does the hard work to get things done while managing to keep a positive attitude; she is always laughing and is just a fun, loving person to be around. She's very empathetic to the needs of others and is constantly making sure that everyone is comfortable and having a good time. Molly also has a large family that includes six nieces and nephews plus several cousins’ kids. Molly is always ready to play with them or read them a story, and you can tell they all really love her for it.

I’m originally from a very rural, woodsy part of New Hampshire. I am the oldest of three: I have a brother two years younger and a sister six years younger than me. I have fond memories of making forts in the woods, catching frogs with my siblings, and running around with our two dogs and multiple barn cats.

In the summers, we would attend a local day camp and, when I was old enough, I became a counselor there myself. I loved working with the kids there, teaching them how to sail and swim, participating in arts and crafts, and leading them in team games. That was one of the first times I realized how much I would enjoy being a dad.

After college, I took that same love of teaching and combined it with my passion for computer programming as a software engineer at a company that makes educational mobile apps for young children. I also work for an A.I.-focused company that was founded last year. I’m really enjoying expanding my knowledge around A.I., but I remain really passionate about the work I do with kids’ apps. I love developing games that encourage kids’ creativity, critical thinking, and STEM skills. My favorite app at this company is States of Matter, in which kids can have fun exploring solids, liquids, gases, and plasma.

Rob is the sweetest, funniest, most generous person I know. If someone mentions they’re moving, he’ll offer to help them pack before they even ask. When I’m stressing out, he’s always there to calm me down. When he orders takeout and I insist I don’t want anything, he orders me something little, just in case. And he’s always making me laugh, making up silly songs and doing funny voices for our puppy, Penny.

I know Rob will make the absolute best dad. He’s so good with our nieces and nephews; he truly listens to them, treats them as equals, and is always down for one more round of hide-and-seek.

His love for children is also evident in his career, which he has largely dedicated to making educational games for kids.

Rob is easy-going, endlessly patient, and up for anything, all traits I know will make him an incredible dad.

Rob's hobbies include playing basketball, biking all over the city, cooking meals (he makes a mean pistachio ricotta pizza), gardening, painting, brewing his own beer, and both playing and creating his own video games.

Molly loves writing, baking, reading, playing tennis and board games (Wits and Wagers is a favorite), and doing crossword puzzles.

Together, we love to hike, compete in trivia (or watch Jeopardy!), play with our dog, Penny, and travel (our favorite trip was our honeymoon in Portugal). We’re so excited to share these interests with our children someday. We can’t wait to go on family hikes, coach little league teams, have family game nights, and explore the world together.

We live in Los Angeles, California! We’re lucky enough to be in walking distance of great cafes, restaurants, and shops. On weekends, we love to grab coffee, check out a farmer’s market, take Penny to the dog park, and go for a walk around town or a hike in Griffith Park. We appreciate the beautiful weather of LA, but we’re both from the east coast, so we love to travel home in the cooler months.

We love exploring our neighborhood, but we also love being homebodies. We like to hang out at home and work on our creative projects (Molly writes and Rob makes video games). One of our favorite dates is Rob’s Movie Night: Rob picks a movie Molly has never seen before and cooks a dinner inspired by the film. Whether we’re venturing out or staying cozy at home, we can’t wait to have fun and make new memories as a family.

She’s a tiny pup, but a mega mutt: she’s part Poodle, Yorkie, Shih Tzu, Chihuahua, Maltese, Terrier, and Bichon Frise. She loves belly rubs, back scratches, and begging us for human food. We adopted Penny in early 2024 and have been having so much fun teaching her tricks and watching her grow.

Molly is very close with her family, which includes her parents, older brother and sister, their spouses, and six nieces and nephews. We love to play board games together (and are just a smidge competitive with them). Molly also comes from a big extended family. She’s one of 16 grandkids, and now those cousins have 20 kids of their own (two of whom are also adoptees). Every summer, all 60 of us go to Stone Harbor, New Jersey for a week at the beach. Molly had so much fun in Stone Harbor as a kid; it’s such a joy to see the next generation of cousins having just as much fun together. Even when we’re not at the beach, we keep in touch and love visiting each other whenever we can.

Rob is lucky to have both of his siblings now living in California; we’re excited to be able to visit them more often and explore more of the state. They are all goofballs; they love slapstick movies and giving gag gifts at the holidays. They’re also very outdoorsy. Rob’s parents live on a lake, so when we visit them in New Hampshire, we love to kayak, hike, and swim together.

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holiday traditions! First, we run in a Turkey Trot with Molly’s family in Pittsburgh. This sounds crazy (and is), but it makes a day filled with food that much better. After, we watch the parade, play games with the nieces and nephews (a favorite is charades), and have a big brunch. For dinner, we head to Molly’s aunt’s house, where about 60 aunts, uncles, and cousins somehow squeeze into her home for dinner. It’s all so cozy and a wonderful reminder of all that we have to be grateful for.

Our greatest goal as parents will be to create a secure and loving home for your child. We will do our best to instill them with self-confidence, empathy for others, open-mindedness, curiosity, and an adventurous spirit. We will also pass on our belief that there is nothing more important than family and friends—that includes you! We hope to have an open relationship filled with love and respect.

We can’t wait to pass on some of the traditions we were raised with, as well as establish our own new traditions as a family. We are also both nature lovers and hope to instill our children with a love, respect, and gratitude for the outdoors. We look forward to camping trips, family hikes, and summer trips to Rob’s parents’ lakehouse.

We want nothing more than to raise a happy, healthy, and kind child, and we promise to do our best everyday to make that a reality.
