Hi there! I'm Pauline from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my life and journey. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to share my story, and I hope that, through these words, you can sense the deep love and commitment I have for the path I am on. As a single person looking to adopt, I’m filled with hope and confidence in my ability to provide a safe, nurturing, and loving home for a child. I believe that everything I’ve experienced - my upbringing, the lessons I've learned, and the support of my community, has prepared me to be the kind of parent I always aspired to be. My heart is open and I am committed to creating a bond that will be unbreakable.
Dear Birth Mother
Getting to Know Me - My Story
I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and I am the eldest of three siblings. My brothers and I are not only family, but also very close friends - by choice! In 2021, I was united with my first dog, Arthur. Arthur is a beautiful mop of chocolate brown love whose only strategic tactic is to get as many kisses and face licks in each day as possible. I love immersing myself in music and theatre, staying active at the gym, and spending time with friends’ children - spoiling them whenever I can! They affectionately call me, Auntie P. They also are obsessed with Arthur. When the kids leave after a day full of Arthur, both parties are very sad. One of my greatest joys is hosting themed dinner parties, where I can express my creativity in the kitchen. Cooking truly is my love language and I find so much joy in preparing delicious meals for others.
Why Adoption
For me, the decision to adopt comes down to one simple truth: I am a single person who feels empowered and ready to start a family. I have carefully built a solid foundation for myself, surrounded by a supportive community, and I am deeply committed to offering a child all the love and care they deserve. Over the years, I’ve focused on establishing a stable career, ensuring financial security, creating a welcoming and nurturing home, and fostering strong, reliable relationships. These steps have all been part of preparing for this next chapter in my life. What excites me most about adoption is the opportunity to build a future together. With love, support, and dedication, I believe we can create a life filled with joy, growth, and unforgettable experiences.

- I live for any police procedural drama - Law & Order, Chicago PD - I love them all!
- When I was 16, I danced with my dance company in Spain. During one excursion, I embarked on a boat ride from the southern tip of Spain to Morocco where I visited local Moroccan markets and even ate lunch at a Prince's palace.
- I am Broadway obsessed! I have seen well over 20 Broadway shows in NYC, including the original Hamilton cast, Gypsy, and Little Shop of Horrors.
- I am a coffee and coffee shop enthusiast. I spend much of my spare time visiting the local coffee shops in Hamilton. At-home, with the coaching of my youngest brother, Phil, I'm an amateur barista whipping up Cortados and Espressos of all kinds.
A Glimpse of Who I Am
Many would describe me as the perfect dinner guest. I thrive in making small talk and ensuring others—whether friends or strangers—feel welcomed and heard. While I may not be an extrovert, I like to think of myself as an "extroverted introvert." This means I enjoy engaging in conversation and connecting with people, but I also appreciate stepping back, observing, and listening to those around me.
Why Wigs
I have Androgenic Alopecia so you can always find me in the most stylish wigs. Androgenic Alopecia has taught me to be patient, understanding, accepting of my story, and to love myself. Having been diagnosed with Androgenic Alopecia in my youth, it truly has shaped who I am today. It made me realize how fortunate I was (still am) to have very supportive parents, siblings, and friends who helped me gain confidence and take my story back.

My Hobbies & Interests
Family gatherings are my joy, rooted in traditions passed down by my maternal grandparents, who taught us to cherish birthdays and holidays. As a child, I remember holiday dinners with tables overflowing with food, lovingly prepared by my Nonna, Mom, and now me, often using my Nonna's handwritten recipes. My family is also known for weekend-long adventures—whether cheering for the Detroit Red Wings or traveling far for great food. At 30, I reached the Top 100 on MasterChef Canada with my seared potato gnocchi dish, an unforgettable moment that deepened my love for cooking. As a teen, I dreamed of being a writer and had the chance to cover local events and submit Op-Ed pieces to my newspaper, sparking a lifelong passion for storytelling.
My Home, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
In 2022, I had the privilege of purchasing my Nonno and Nonna’s home, the very house they built in 1970. My childhood was filled with time spent in this home, always eager to be with them. Thirty-six years later, I bought the house from my Mom and began renovating it. Now, my home is a four-story back split with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms - safe, spacious, and filled with personal touches from my life. After completing renovations on two of the four floors, my home has become a true reflection of my personality and taste. I’m proud to have a wonderful, fenced-in backyard perfect for play and adventure. My dedicated home office offers a quiet space for work and I’m surrounded by the vibrant, culturally rich city of Hamilton - known for its diversity, farmers markets, pools, and so much more. The neighborhood is a perfect blend of convenience and nature, with two nearby parks, including a soccer field, and many hiking trails just a short distance away. My home is ready and waiting to welcome the pitter-patter of little feet, eager to continue filling it with light, love, and new memories.
Meet Arthur
Arthur is my first dog! Arthur is a mini labradoodle who is very active and friendly. I searched far and wide for him during the pandemic and in 2021 we were united and my obsession with him began. I initially wanted a dog after spending time with my brother's dog, Baker, and realizing how calm and full he made me feel. While Arthur has a bit more energy than Baker, I literally cannot imagine my home without him. He is great with kids and will be a great companion to your child! Arthur loves playing fetch in the backyard, watching the Real Housewives with me, and he especially enjoys chowing down on a cheeseburger for his birthday. When choosing a name, I knew I had to find one which could have many nicknames, like Arty, but also can be said in Italian, Arturo. He listens to all of the nicknames, especially when a treat is involved.
About My Career
After studying English Literature and Art History, I spent over 15 years in the corporate world as a strategic communications executive.Today, I run my own strategic communications consulting business where I’m passionate about understanding how businesses operate and helping them strengthen their strategies, operations, and communications plans. My first and maybe most important client is my family’s bakery business where I manage their social media platforms and help with their internal processes and procedures. Leaving the corporate world has allowed me the flexibility to work from home and set my own hours. It also helps that my Mom lives 5 minutes from me to help with future childcare.
My Family
My family’s Italian roots shape our love of family, food, and holidays. My paternal grandparents started a local Italian bakery in 1952, and my maternal grandparents immigrated from Italy in the 1950's. I have two younger brothers, two sisters-in-law, my fur-nephew Baker, (a mini Schnoodle), and parents who have raised us to value one another and to put the effort into our familial relationships to ensure we are more than family – we are friends.
Family Traditions
I live for my family gatherings! From pasta to specialty desserts to Italian board games, we all look forward to our time together as we all have a love of celebration. My maternal grandparents taught us that birthdays and holidays should be treated with the utmost respect. When I was little, I remember holiday dinners where every inch of the table would be covered with food. My Nonna and Mom (and now me!) would spend days planning and preparing the meal to ensure every detail was thought of and every person's favorite dish was included. When it comes to traditions, I am often digging through my Nonna's handwritten recipes to make all of her staples. Do I make them as good as her? No, I do not. But I certainly try.
My Friends
It takes a village! When it comes to friendships, my motto has always been "quality over quantity". Over the last 25 years, I have forged very close and meaningful friendships with strong women. These relationships have taught me to be patient, thoughtful, and have given me the opportunity to experience many different (and exciting) journeys. Not only do I have these powerful women in my life, but they also provide me with such a great blessing: relationships with their children. From teens (who I have known since birth) to teeny babies, these children have shown me unconditional love and provided me with purpose. Spending time with these pint-sized balls of love (and their mothers), have made me a fuller and happier person.
Kids in My Life
My family and friends' kids mean the world to me! From celebrating holidays together and hosting themed sleepovers, to sharing casual breakfasts and attending their extracurricular events, every moment spent creating unforgettable memories with them is incredibly meaningful. The joy they bring into my life is something I cherish deeply.
