Hello! We are Rupam & Raj from Seattle, Washington along with our daughter, Ruana. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and consider us as adoptive parents for your child. We cannot imagine how difficult this journey must be for you. We know you are putting your heart and soul into making the right decision for you and for your baby. And we are here to support you in your decision.

We want you to know that we would provide a caring, loving home and family for your child. Since the very beginning of our relationship, we have wanted to adopt a child, and knew that adoption would always be our path towards growing our family. If you choose us as adoptive parents, please know that we would always cherish and celebrate that you loved your child abundantly and sacrificed so much for them.

We are a fun and caring family and are fortunate to be calling the beautiful Pacific Northwest home for the last 8 years. We enjoy walking our dog, Baloo, and visiting all the great parks around us. We are surrounded by a close knit community and love spending time with our family and friends. Family means everything to us and we can’t wait to add another little one to our family! We are excited to meet you and hope you enjoy getting to know us!

I grew up in India, in a military family, so we moved all over the country during my childhood. I learned to quickly adapt and embrace the new things around me. It taught me to enjoy and respect the diversity all around me.

I am an Engineer by education and a Program Product Manager by profession. I work for a tech company that gives me the flexibility to work from home and maintain a great work life balance. My teammates and I frequently have kiddos join meetings and “pretend work” along with us.

Rupam is a great partner. She is very thoughtful, social, and warm and parenting comes naturally to her. Rupam has a very cheerful personality. Making new friends comes easy to her. She has amazing organizational skills and loves to plan - be it a family event, or a trip with friends, she always puts her best effort and intent to ensure it is fun for everyone. She was once mistaken as the professional event planner at a friend’s baby shower she helped organize. She is often referred to as the glue that holds everyone together. She stands by her words and you can always count on her. Rupam and I share a lot of hobbies and love our time biking together or going on hikes or long walks. She is always very supportive of my hobbies - including sitting through and cheering my boring solo-jam sessions. Rupam has an open mind and is always looking for ways to better raise our child. She loves to read books to Ruana, solve puzzles or at times just blow bubbles in the backyard.

My name is Rajesh, and I go by Raj. I also grew up in India. Being an only child, I am close with my parents and have had their constant support. This shaped the parent I am today, dedicated to supporting my children’s goals and dreams.

I am a Software Engineer by education and profession. I work for a company that makes audio speakers and I love that my job incorporates my passion for music at work. Probably why I have been with the company for almost 10 years. The flexibility to work remotely and balance my personal life is likely another good reason.

Raj is an honest, humble, and goofy person. We make an awesome team, and he is an extremely involved father and great partner. Raj can come across as an introvert, quiet and shy person to a lot of people at first... Spoiler alert - he is not. Wait till you get to know him and he gets comfortable with you. He loves using punchlines from our favorite TV shows, movies in day to day conversations. He makes a joke and then starts laughing himself at it uncontrollably (imagine ROFL). The number of times we use Seinfeld dialogs in our day is hilarious. He does funny Kramer impressions from the show everyday. Raj hands down is the fun parent. Even before our daughter, he quickly became the favorite with my nieces and nephew. They looked forward to spending time with him during our family trips and get togethers. He loves making sketches with Ruana, coloring and reading her the same book... again and again!

We have been fortunate to be able to travel to many places in the US, from the East Coast to the West Coast and have lived in New Jersey, California, Massachusetts and now Washington (the state). We love traveling and have explored many countries and Norway and London are our current two favorites. This has given us a chance to see new places, learn about other cultures, meet people from different backgrounds, and try new foods! We can't wait to show the world to the little one and take them on all our adventures!

Hi! I am Ruana and my friends call me RuRu. I was born in 2020. I am very playful (and often pretend I am a dinosaur!).

I love being outdoors. I like going to my neighborhood playground. I enjoy bike rides especially during the summer, or going on hikes. I even insist we have our dinner outside on the deck and enjoy the warm weather.

I can't wait for my baby brother or sister to arrive. We are going to play together and I will teach them so many new things.

Our home is a bright, spacious and cozy 5-bedroom bungalow in a safe suburb of Seattle, Washington.

We have a great yard and a spacious deck where we enjoy playing with our dog, having BBQs with friends, or just having s’more nights as a family. We are surrounded by caring neighbors, and our neighborhood is diverse and family-oriented with great schools within walking distance. There are always kids outside riding bikes, drawing on the sidewalks with chalk, or playing on water slides during hot summer days.

We also live right next to a wooded park with hiking and biking trails and several playgrounds for the kiddos. Most days, you will find us hiking, biking, or exploring the outdoors with family and friends.

Baloo, our sweet Bernedoodle (Bernese mountain dog & poodle mix), aka Teddy Bear (yes, he will respond to that nick name too!). He is 5 years old and we have had him since he was a 9 week old puppy. Baloo is a big fluff ball of pure love who is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. Baloo is great with kids - he is so patient & gentle. He will be a great protector, playmate and snuggle buddy for our new little one.

We are blessed to have a very strong support system. Rupam comes from a very loving and supportive family. Rupam’s elder sister has 3 children (14-year old boy & girl twins and an 11 year-old girl). Rupam's mother adores her grandchildren and can't wait to spoil another! Rupam has been involved in her niece and nephew’s upbringing since their birth.

Raj comes from a small, close-knit family. He is an only child and is very close with his parents. His parents live in India and they video chat with each other every weekend, and also see them as often as we can. They love being grandparents! Raj also has his extended family in the US, including aunts, uncles and several cousins in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We stay in touch with them and see them for family reunions and get-togethers. They are all excited to welcome another little one to the family!

We have a group of dear friends that we have known for decades and consider family. They can't wait to welcome another little member to our community!

We think of ourselves as global citizens, experiencing cultures and people from different parts of the world. We strive to live by these values and hope to raise our kids with the same values.

We were both raised in Hindu families who celebrated all festivals across all religions with equal zest (including Christmas - one of our favorites!). During Diwali, the "festival of lights" symbolizing triumph of light over darkness, we decorate the house with lots of lights, wear traditional clothing, and celebrate with friends and family. We speak Hindi and English at home, and you can hear a blend of accents from various countries. For Thanksgiving every year, we share the meal with friends and practice gratitude for all the blessings surrounding us. On our Birthdays, we like to travel somewhere fun and explore new places.
