Hello! We are Sean and Steve from Denver, Colorado. Thank you for checking us out! We understand you are considering a difficult decision, and should you choose adoption, we hope you find the perfect adoptive family for your child. Our hope is that you take some time to see our story and realize we could be amazing dads. We are so excited to grow our family and promise to provide your child a home full of love, learning and adventure. We have so much respect for you as you decide what is best for your child.
Dear Birth Mother...
Why Adoption
When we first started dating, we both shared the importance and desire of becoming a parent. Now that we are married, we are beyond excited to grow our family and achieve our dream of becoming dads.
We share a similar set of values and believe it is important to not only support one another but encourage each other to be the best version of ourselves. Through adoption we believe our love will deepen and our lives will be enriched through both the joys and challenges of raising a child.
Our Story
Rihanna isn't the only one who found love in a hopeless place. We met in the summer of 2020 and most of our first dates involved exploring the outdoors together. We quickly fell in love and got married at our favorite park in 2023.
We love to go on hikes, walk our dogs, travel, spend time with friends and family and try new activities. We believe that life is meant to be explored. Whether we are hopping on a plane or signing up for a glass-blowing class, we never miss an opportunity for a new adventure!
Our next big, and forever, adventure is to navigate parenthood together and we could not be more excited!
Our Future Adventures as a Family Will Include...
- Tubing and skiing in the winter
- Bundling up to go Christmas tree hunting in the mountains
- Hiking in one of the many State parks and looking up all the pretty flowers we come across
- Floating the Platte River while taking breaks to find treasure along the banks
- Biking to City Park to listen to jazz on a Sunday afternoon and having a picnic
- Attending the Denver Chalk Art Festival and making our own chalk art scene
- Attending the Denver Symphony as they play along to a movie (Harry Potter? Star Wars? Yes to both!)
- Swimming lessons and cool treats by the pool
- Going to a bookstore and finding a perfect book to read to them and, years later, helping them find their own perfect book to read on their own
- Getting lost in a nearby corn maze and finding the BEST pumpkin for Halloween
Meet Sean, by Sean
I grew up north of Denver with my sister and parents. As a kid, I loved playing the piano, drawing, being in band and acting. I suppose you could say I was the typical high school nerd but I did try my hand at tennis and swimming!
One of my huge interests now is traveling and always learning something new. I believe my interest in traveling came from my family who took me anywhere from Carlsbad Caverns in NM to camping on the beach in Alaska. However, one of my favorite memories growing up was driving to Denver once a year around Christmas to visit a huge local bookstore and finding a new book to read.
I enjoy my work and having the opportunity to support a welcoming environment for all employees by working in HR. Partly because of my experience in HR I have grown more understanding and patient and believe that these skills will help me as I start my most important job – being a dad!

More About Sean, by Steve
I knew by the end of our first date that Sean was special. His smile was contagious and our conversation flowed so easily. The attraction was instantaneous and as time went on, I learned just how lucky I was to have the attention of this handsome guy.
Over the last 4 years, Sean has grown into my ‘person,’ you know… the one that knows you better than you know yourself. He is one of the most kind, thoughtful individuals. One of my favorite qualities about Sean is his ability to be both silly and competitive at the same time. His ability to crack jokes while we are playing Boomerang FU on Nintendo Switch keeps me laughing.
I adore Sean’s natural wit and charm; I am honored to call him my husband. He is an incredible guy with a beautiful heart. I am excited to grow our family together as I know he will be an amazing father.
Meet Steve, by Steve
I grew up in NW Arkansas & SW Missouri with my two sisters, and parents. As a kid, I loved to play sports (basketball, baseball & football), and ride four-wheelers around my grandparents’ cattle farm.
I ended up joining Teach For America upon graduating college and have been teaching middle school math ever since! When I am not teaching Algebra to 8th graders, I can be found in the kitchen or in the mountains. I love to try out new recipes and have recently gotten into baking. I also love to frequent the Rocky Mountains for hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter!
Another huge interest of mine is traveling, both domestic and abroad. I actually started an international service club at my school and have had the pleasure of taking small groups of kids to multiple countries. Through my travels, I have developed a deep sense of self & appreciation for diverse cultures.
Did You Know? Steve...
- Grew up with a pet cow named John Henry
- Recently joined a pickleball league with other teachers from his school
- Enjoys movies & quizzing Sean on actors/movies (that Sean never remembers)
- Likes to run and recently ran in a marathon relay
- Loves all things Jurassic Park/World!
More About Steve, by Sean
Steve has an infectious laugh and is the most outgoing person I know. Steve found his passion in teaching and has a kind heart and more patience than I would have thought possible.
One of the things I admire the most about Steve is his passion and strong work ethic. He takes his role as an educator seriously, but still manages to show up as a funny and enthusiastic teacher with a great sense of humor. Because of his authentic demeanor, he is a well-trusted teacher in his school community.
Steve lives life to the fullest and has made me realize that life is about laughing, finding joy and staying true to your values. I love how many interests Steve has which includes anything from cooking or seeing a musical (one of his favorites is Hairspray!) to skiing and encouraging me to join him at the gym.
I am proud of the man Steve is and am so excited to see him become a dad!

Our Home
We live in a cozy home in a diverse neighborhood in Denver which we love! We are a block away from a beautiful park that has statues of hippos and giraffes where kids are frequently playing. We are also close to a bike trail that we often ride to go see a baseball game downtown or simply explore our neighborhood.
When we are home one of us is often in the kitchen making a tasty dinner or just curled up on our couch reading a good book while listening to some music! We love to share meals in our backyard and play games with our friends under our string lights in warmer months.
We can't wait to hear your child’s laughter in our home as they grow up and find their own unique way in the world with our home and love as their anchor.
Our Dogs, Raven & Hudson
Both of us have had our dogs since they were puppies. Hudson is an 11-year-old Husky-Terrier mix that loves ear scratches and is entering his “nap and yap” era. Raven is a 9-year-old Shiba Inu/short-hair Australian Shepherd mix that enjoys playing fetch and going on hikes! Together, they love to go on evening walks around our neighborhood and keep our house safe from squirrels and the mailman.
Our Family & Friends
Sean’s family lives nearby and we often get together with them for a meal, playing games (bowling, board games) or just to hang out. Sean's entire family is really into gardening & each maintain beautiful gardens at their respective homes. Additionally, Sean's dad is into woodworking and has built wooden furniture for each family member! For Sean he made a beautiful hope chest where he saves his childhood blanket.
Steve has a large family in Arkansas and Missouri that we see at least twice a year. When we travel back for a week in the summer, Steve will typically help his grandpa with hay season on the farm and hang at the lake with his dad on a pontoon boat!
Additionally, we have built a strong community of close friends and colleagues that make up our day-to-day support system here in Denver. There are a myriad of future aunts & uncles that are excited to help support and love our future little one!
Our Commitment to Your Child
As a same-sex couple, we understand that our family may look different from others. We are committed to providing a child with the tools they need to navigate any challenges they may face and to celebrate the diversity of all families.
It takes a village to raise a child and we are grateful to have the support and love of our families and friends to mentor and raise your child.
In Closing - Thank You
We cannot wait to become dads and welcome your child into our lives! We want to spark your child’s passions and encourage them to be bold and creative. Your child will always have the opportunity to explore any activity they are interested in. We will also ensure that they feel safe and comfortable to be their genuine self.
We understand the importance of your child knowing their adoption story and the amount of love that went into your decision. We look forward to supporting an open relationship before, during, and after the adoption if that is something you wish for. We would be grateful for the opportunity to be your child’s adoptive family.
We want you to know that we will always be there to provide a loving and welcoming home.
