Hi! We’re Stephanie and Travis from Washington State. We appreciate you taking the time to read our profile and to get to know us better.

Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your child. This is a huge decision you are making and we cannot begin to understand how difficult this is for you. You are strong and courageous. Your love is beyond measure as you seek to find a family that will raise, cherish and adore your child.

We have always known adoption was going to be a part of our journey, we just didn’t know when. As we learned that we could not have biological children, adoption became the perfect way for us to grow our family. Adoption to us means, love, hope, and a bond that holds us and you together. It is much larger than any one word but an act by multiple parties choosing to bring life into this world intending to shower, nurture and care for this child unconditionally.

It’s kind of a funny story, not something we’ve ever heard of before. Both of us were flying back to school after a long weekend and we met on an airplane. Travis was sitting in an aisle seat and Stephanie was walking up the aisle looking for an open spot when Stephanie asked Travis if the seat was

After talking the whole flight, we realized we went to the same college and had a few mutual friends and thought it was odd we had never met before. After a few run-ins on campus, Travis asked Stephanie out on their first date. It was for ice cream of course, which is an integral part of both our sweet tooth’s.

We found out less than two years into dating that Travis has Klinefelter’s Syndrome which is when we learned he had over 50% chance of being infertile. taken and he said, “yes, by you”.

We knew if we wanted to have a family, adoption was going to be part of our journey.

After dating for five years and married for five years, we knew it was time to start growing our family. We chose to try IVF first which also meant surgery for Travis, and we learned biological children would not be an option.

I was born in Southern California and raised outside of Sacramento. From an early age, family was a huge part of my life. My grandmother and my great aunt lived less than two miles away and I have a lot of fond memories spending time with them. I remember taking trips to Southern California to spend time with my grandparents and cousins. I am an avid homebrewer and enjoy spending time outdoors. I was raised skiing and hope to one day share this winter sport with our children.

After high school, I attended Gonzaga University and graduated with a Business Degree and have worked for a nationally known paint company for over ten years. Here I have the opportunity to work with great people, leading teams and sales for our district.

I look forward to sharing, teaching and making memories with our future child. I cannot wait to be a father and share the knowledge that has been passed down to me over the years.

Travis is softhearted, helpful, enthusiastic and optimistic. His strength is his personality, he truly has a heart of gold and all he ever wants is everyone to be happy. He will drop everything he is doing to help anyone out, even a stranger. Travis is always the first to lend a hand. I admire that he always sees the best in everyone.

All of this to say, I have always looked forward to him being a father, I know he will bring his best self forward for his family, I see it daily in how he does this for me, our friends and our families. Travis always knows how to bring the fun. If we aren’t dancing in the kitchen or singing, then we are laughing and joking. To see him share his spirit, love of life and passion with a child is a moment that I am excitedly waiting for.

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, near Portland, Oregon. I am the youngest of three and you couldn’t keep us from being outside as kids. We were involved in a variety of activities from scouting, to music, and multiple sports. I have no idea how my parents kept up but they did. We had dinner together and spent time vacationing with friends and family as well as traveling for sports.

I look forward to sharing these activities and experiences with our future children. After high school, I attended Gonzaga University and graduated with a Public Relations Degree and a Master’s Degree in Communication Leadership with an emphasis in Strategic Communications. I currently work at a regional university in their alumni relations office. Here I facilitate communications and events with the goal to engage our alumni in activities they are passionate about.

I am so excited to become a mother and to share these adventures with our future child!

Stephanie is the most dedicated and selfless person that I know. For years she has volunteered at multiple non-profit agencies in our region, either holding a board position or avidly gathering volunteers for projects. She spent a year after college in San Francisco serving in AmeriCorps where she worked with low-income families to revitalize their homes.

Stephanie has a big personality. She’s witty and also quick on the jokes. She has this innate ability to make friends wherever she goes, and isn’t afraid of talking to anyone. Stephanie keeps everyone laughing all day around her, and she makes the perfect travel partner. She always puts everyone else’s needs in front of her own.

I’ve always seen Stephanie as a mother. Her ability to care and empathize with others makes her an ideal role model for our future children. She is attentive, connected, and constantly engaged with our nieces, cousins, and other kids in our life which makes my heart melt every time.

We live in Spokane, Washington and it truly is near nature and near perfect. We love that we live in a city surrounded by beautiful mountains and lakes. Our home is in a great neighborhood near walking trails, parks and excellent schools. We often bike and walk after work as well as on weekends to restaurants and coffee shops. We are thrilled that our future child will have access to a large backyard, a wonderful cul-de-sac with close-knit neighbors and have the benefit of having friends, family and a city nearby.

We are lucky to live within an hour of three mountains and surrounded by over 70 lakes in Spokane County. Spending time in the outdoors is where some of our favorite memories are and we can’t wait to create new ones with our future child.

Abigail is the fluffiest, sweetest, most playful and caring pup. Abigail is a 7-year-old Goldendoodle. She has the biggest heart and is the official greeter of our cul-de-sac, she loves to say hello to everyone. Abs, fluffbutt, browncow are a few of her many nicknames, she is very well trained and usually off leash in our neighborhood but sticks right by us, oftentimes hanging in the front yard while we work in the garden or on the house. Abigail could lay outside all day during all seasons but especially loves to romp around in the snow or help shovel the driveway.

She is a fantastic hiking partner and will oftentimes be found on the weekends hitting the trail, riding along in the kayak or playing basketball with us in the front driveaway, she is the number 1 defensive player in this household.

Abigail loves to snuggle with our nieces and can’t wait to have a sibling to spend time adventuring with.

We are very close to both our families. Travis is the middle of three, and has an older brother Ian and younger sister Ariana. Stephanie is youngest of three and has an older brother Alex and an older deceased sister, Nicole. We both have strong relationships with our parents as well as our siblings. Travis being from California, we travel often to see his folks and his siblings in Colorado and Illinois. Stephanie is from Oregon but her parents recently retired and live less than two miles away from us and we see them weekly. Stephanie’s brother lives in Western Washington with our sister-in-law, Chandini and two beautiful nieces. We look forward to growing our family surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Being together is and always will be our number one priority.

Our friends are family, they are very compassionate, supportive and full of love. We have friends all over the United States that we try to see at least once a year, if not every other year. We have annual camping trips, ski trips, vacations and continue to explore the world with them, from the Olympic Peninsula, to Mammoth Mountain, Crater Lake and beyond. From childhood to college best friends, we are so grateful to be surrounded by authentic, caring and adventurous peers that we consider family.
