As you read our story, the first thing you should know is that you have been in our hearts and in our prayers for many years. Your courage in considering adoption is admirable. It opens the door for couples like us to experience parenthood. When we first learned about our infertility, we knew that the only way we were going to create a family would be with the help of a brave woman like you. You will always hold a place of honor in our family.

Starting a family means the world to us. We believe deeply in creating a home where our child has a strong sense of belonging and is able to explore whatever passions they feel called to. We have created a life that we love and are so ready to share it with a child. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and we hope to have the chance to learn about you.

We met twelve years ago in the most millennial way… on a dating app. We were both living in Scottsdale, Arizona and we were actually neighbors, living just three blocks away. For our first date, John planned a cute lunch at an outdoor café nearby. We chatted and laughed for nearly two hours before planning our second date to the zoo. That’s where John really sealed the deal, with an impressive list of never-ending animal facts. As we continued to date, we enjoyed traveling together, getting to know each other’s families, and attending a lot of baseball games.

One year later, we returned to the zoo where John nervously proposed in front of the gibbon’s monkey exhibit. He gave his best animal fact of all, “did you know gibbons have one mate for their entire life?” Since that day, our love story has grown into an amazing adventure. We have so much in common at our core- our values, our love of family, and our commitment to each other. We have seen each other at our very best and worst, and still continue to say “I do” every day.

I grew up in a tight-knit family in San Mateo, California with my mom, dad, and little sister. I was a quiet kid that loved to dance, draw, and play outside. I was very lucky to grow up in a household with incredibly supportive parents. My mom was a flight attendant so we were able to travel often. My most treasured memories from childhood are the trips we went on to visit family in Montana. Family has always been extremely important to me, and I am very sentimental and love holiday traditions.

In high school, I was very active. I participated in cheerleading, competitive cheer, yearbook, and student government. After high school, I went to college in Montana where I earned my degree and teaching credential in elementary education. Currently, I teach second grade in Laguna Beach, in one of California’s top school districts and enjoy summers off. I have been teaching elementary school for the past fifteen years and knew I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was in the first grade. The most satisfying part of my job is teaching children how to read. I have over two thousand books in my classroom library!

I cannot wait to read bedtime stories to my future child and cultivate a love for learning, art, and exploring. I care deeply about child development and look forward to taking my future child to parks, museums, and the beach. John and I love to explore new places and look forward to international travel with our future children.

Tasa will be an amazing mother! I have seen firsthand the love and care she gives to the students in her classroom. Her connection with her students is inspirational. She is incredibly nurturing and is one of the most hardworking people I know. Anyone who knows her is excited by her energy. She has a great sense of humor and is able to make others feel at ease. Tasa is a master planner and always has fun activities planned during family vacations and get-togethers. She will be the mom that throws awesome birthday parties. Tasa loves studying history and archeology and we have visited national parks to look at petroglyphs and dinosaur fossils. My wife puts her heart and soul into everything that she does and will give her all to our future child.

I grew up in sunny Scottsdale, AZ in a family of 5. My family was always on the go and very active with sports. I loved playing baseball, soccer, and lacrosse as a kid and teenager. Growing up my house was right by the park where the major league baseball players practiced for Spring Training. Tasa and I have spring training season tickets and always spend a week or two in Scottsdale each year surrounded by friends, family, and watching the San Francisco Giants play baseball.

I’ve always loved the water and learned to swim even before I could walk. I also love to be outdoors, whether it’s visiting a National Park or surfing at our beautiful local beaches. I’m excited to do all the cool dad things; like teaching my future child how to surf and to love the planet and all its creatures. I can’t wait to enrich their life with love, knowledge, and curiosity.
Lucky for us, I work from home so I will be present for many of the important moments in our child’s life and when I am needed the most. Currently I work at Saleforce, a tech company.

John truly is my perfect match. He is the calming force in our relationship and I am so lucky to call him my husband. He is thoughtful, loving, and the rock of our family. John is always up for trying something new and gives his passions his full attention. Whether it’s learning a new instrument like the ukulele, volunteering, or perfecting his pizza recipe, John loves new challenges. What I have fallen in love with most about John is his caring nature; he is a true family man, always putting the needs of others before himself. I know that he will be the best and most loving hands-on dad. He truly is my best friend, partner, and the man I can’t wait to start a family with.

We live in the small beach town of Monarch Beach, in Southern California. Our town is safe, quiet, and known for amazing surfing. We are just a short drive from Disneyland, baseball stadiums, zoos, and aquariums. We can walk to all of our favorite places like the beach, restaurants, and neighborhood parks full of open spaces for kids to run, bike, and play. Our home is located in one of the best school districts in California, where Tasa works and many neighborhood children attend.

We can offer your child a stable and loving home, the support of our family and friends, and an abundance of love. We currently own our townhouse that has enough space for a child to grow and play. Our home is clean, organized, and cozy. We are close enough to the cost to feel an ocean breeze when we open the windows. There are many parks nearby and our favorite one has a play structure right on the sand. We feel extremely lucky to live in a place where many people vacation.

Our dog Frank is the sweetest good boy you could ever meet! He is a 15-year-old terrier mix. Tasa rescued him when he was only four months old. He loves to be around people, cuddle, and eat treats. He is especially patient and loving with children who often flock to him when he is out on walks. He is a valued family member and goes everywhere with us.

We love spending time with our family and friends and see them often. In fact, we live just a short 5 ½ hour drive from John’s family in Scottsdale, AZ, and Tasa’s family in the San Francisco Bay Area. We love spending Christmas in Tasa’s childhood home and have a large celebration with friends and family filled with many traditions. Tasa’s sister Chloe just had her first baby, so there will be plenty of little ones running around. Tasa’s parents Jim and Debbie have been together since the 7th grade, and married for over forty years! Jim is most excited to have his future grandchildren attend his summer camp where they will learn to play drums!

John’s family is a little more spread out. His sister Diana lives in Massachusetts. She is recently remarried and has one teenage daughter and step-son. John’s brother Mark and his wife have three boys and live in Arizona. John’s parents, John Sr. and Linda live in Arizona and are expert grandparents! They are always spoiling and spending time with their grandchildren. Mark and his family visit us each summer. Last summer they came for a week and we enjoyed whale watching and spending time at the beach and showing them around town.

Our extended family is also very excited to welcome a new family member! Tasa has a very large extended family who are all very supportive of our plan to adopt. In fact, Tasa has four adopted cousins that have provided valuable insight into their own adoption stories.

We promise you that we will love your child unconditionally and dedicate our lives to providing them with a lifetime of kindness, support, guidance, and encouragement in all they do. We promise to provide them with every opportunity to follow their dreams and explore their passions. We promise to raise them with a deep appreciation for who you are and the love that you have for them.
