We met briefly in college 12 years ago when we joined the same sorority! We stayed in touch and had many friends in common, but our story really started 5 years ago. Karina posted on social media about the Women’s World Cup (soccer), Tiffany responded, and Karina asked her to meet for a drink. We sat and talked about our families, our shared interests and beliefs and there was an unexpected and undeniable magic between us! We dated for a few months before “accidentally moving in” after two weeks of COVID turned into a 4-month lock-down in Tiffany’s studio apartment!

We fell in love fast while making the best of the pandemic and finding joy in the mundane together. Our relationship is all about joy, deep respect for one another and making each other laugh every single day.
We proposed to each other at home in our pajamas in the summer of 2022 and got married in the fall of 2023 at a little adobe-style house in Orange County where we are both from. We exchanged hand-written vows and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. The kind of love we share is something neither of us dreamed we would ever have but the kind everyone deserves.

I was adopted from Paraguay when I was 7 months old and raised in Orange County, California by my incredible and caring adoptive parents, Ana and Ori. They are both Cuban-American immigrants who met here in California at a roller rink as teenagers! My sister, Alyssa, was adopted from Russia when I was 3. Our childhood was filled with love, from family dinners at grandma’s house to fun days at our cousins’ swimming parties. My dad, who loves soccer, passed that passion on to me, and that’s where my love for sports began. I studied communications in college and worked in PR before starting my own company. I have a deep curiosity for life, and I love exploring new places, learning about different cultures, and spending time in nature. As a mom, I’m looking forward to witnessing our future child grow and supporting them as they discover what life has to offer

Since the start of my career, I’ve felt a deep calling to use my voice for positive change. As the founder of the first Latina sports media company, I believe in the power of sports to create opportunities and build leadership. Knowing I’m helping to shape a better future for the next generation keeps me inspired every day.

Karina is the perfect combination of hard-working and tender and silly! She goes to the ends of the earth for the people she loves and I know she will do that for our child too.

I was fortunate enough to grow up in sunny Orange County, California with my parents, Marie and Steve, and my 2 brothers, CT and Eric. We grew up playing piano, ice skating, acting and singing in plays at the local community theatre all through high school. Sadly, my dad and brother, Eric, have passed away but my oldest brother, CT, has become my rock and greatest confidante in life over the years! He taught me what family is all about.

I went to California State University Fullerton and studied communications while working my way through as a nanny. I moved to LA 10 years ago to pursue a career in entertainment and have loved building my life here. I fill my days with reading thriller novels, trying out new delicious recipes, watching what Karina calls “Screaming Ladies” aka The Real Housewives and dreaming up future trips and plans with our friends. I’ve always craved having a big, tight-knight family and I am really excited about creating that for our future child. My love language is words of affirmation and time spent so having deep, meaningful friendships has always been a cornerstone of my life.

It took me a few years after college to find my calling but I now work as a talent agent for actors! I get to go to work every day and help young people achieve their dreams! I find them auditions, negotiate their contracts and ensure that each actor is protected on and off film sets. The safety and happiness of my clients is one of the most important things to me outside my family. I also get to work from home 2 days a week and my colleagues are not only coworkers but also wildly supportive friends who will support our family!

There is no one more selfless and kind in this world than Tiffany. She always thinks of others before she thinks of herself. She brings out the best in those around her and lights up every room she walks into.

We have family all over the country and are very close to them! Tiffany’s brother, CT, and sister-in-law, Amber, live in Cleveland, Ohio, and her mom, Marie, lives close to us in Orange County. She always threw the most creative birthdays & legendary holiday parties and Tiffany can’t wait to do the same! Karina’s parents, Ana and Ori, and sister, Alyssa, also live just a hop away in Orange County. We are incredibly close and consider them to be our best friends! We’ve traveled to Europe together, we go on sun-soaked family getaways to their beach condo in Panama City Beach, Florida, each summer and spend most of our weekends with them and Aly! They are looking forward to teaching their grandchild to be bilingual! Our entire family is so excited about our adoption journey! They can’t wait to support us as new parents and be the village to help us raise our future child. Karina has a vibrant, loud and loving Cuban-American family! Her Aunt Josie, and Uncle Robert, their kids, multiple in-laws and grandchildren (two of whom are also adopted), along with the grandmas make it feel like we have a massive family! We frequent dinners at Abuela Marta’s house, love going to Cousin Dominic’s basketball games, and are ALWAYS celebrating a birthday with the family.

We are so lucky to have all our friends within a 15-60 minute drive of us, some whom we’ve known since grade school and college! We attend games together, throw dinner parties together and there’s always a baby shower or Friendsgiving to celebrate! They give us a wonderful support system for fun, moral support and for future mom advice! Tiffany’s friends from college, whom we see once a month, all have kids ages 2 months- 7 years old and can’t wait to add another little buddy to the gang.

We live in a safe, quiet suburb called South Pasadena which is about 6 miles from Downtown Los Angeles. We live in a spacious apartment that has been home to our annual cookie-decorating gathering, game day watch parties with friends and theme nights. We live around the corner from an elementary school and, on our daily morning walks, we pass the library, the little league park, the dog park and the idyllic main street lined with shops, a children’s art studio, a music school and a weekly farmer’s market! In less than an hour, we can be at the beach, up in the mountains or out in the desert and can’t wait to take our future child on frequent getaways to explore!

We are lucky enough to fill our time with hobbies! We are happiest outdoors - we go on daily walks, have loved hiking and want to visit all of the national parks! We trade off cooking each night but Tiffany especially loves to cook. Karina’s family has fallen in love with Tiffany’s famous lasagna recipe she got from her Grandma Ellie. Along with sporting events, we love seeing concerts and going to plays at the nearby Pantages Theatre! And - of course, traveling is our favorite hobby of all!

We will provide a happy, silly, loving & fun home where your child will feel loved and secure at all times. We will emphasize a good education in our home and encourage your child to dream big like we do. We will encourage your child to try lots of activities but will celebrate their individuality! We will explore the world with your child so they see all that it has to offer! We will model healthy habits & an active lifestyle for your child to promote health and longevity. We will promote a curiosity for culture and surround them with a diverse & caring community.

Adoption has always been our plan. Karina isn’t biologically related to anyone in her family so she has never felt the need to have biological children. We have talked about adoption being our path since our very first date. Our hope is that your child will have the opportunity to know you, their adoption story, and why you chose us to be their adoptive parents!
