Hello! We are Vi & Jeff from Orange County, California. We admire your decision to choose adoption and are honored that you have considered us for placement. Even when we were kids, we both knew that adoption would be our path to having a family. Wherever we go, we tend to build community. Whether it be neighbors, colleagues, or people we have met while traveling. So it only feels natural that this extends to the family we look forward to building with your help.
Dear Birth Mother...
Our Story
Eleven years ago, we met during a meditation retreat. We instantly clicked! We couldn’t stop talking to one another about our shared interests, such as our love of food, cooking, travel, and an insatiable curiosity for life. After a few years of dating, we quit our jobs to travel around Asia for a year. Traveling together solidified our relationship. We discovered that we could easily navigate difficult situations and difficult conversations. We also found that we love to create community wherever we are. These experiences shaped our relationship and our thoughts about starting a family.
Nowadays, our adventures mainly reside in Southern California, where we live. We come from different backgrounds and upbringings, which has taught us the importance of diversity and different ideas. Even with our diverse families, the common theme is love, kindness, and lots of laughter.
What We Do For Work
Jeff: I work as a director of sales for a tech company. It allows me to work with wonderful people from all over the world right from my home office. Being home is vital so that I can be there for our child.
Vi: I am a meditation teacher. I love my job because I help people to live their best life. I love creating a safe environment where people don’t feel judged and can be themselves. I meet fascinating people from all walks of life. It also allows me to travel when I want or stay home when I want.
Meet Vi, by Jeff
Vi is energetic, passionate about her work, and interested in everything life has to offer. She sees the world through a beautiful lens that is reflected in her personality. When entering a room, she radiates joy and kindness and treats everyone respectfully. Her warm personality is irresistibly fun and nurturing.
She is a strong, self-sufficient woman and the most intelligent person I know. She can reframe problems in a way that is constructive and uplifting. She cares deeply for her family and is always looking for ways to inject a little love into someone’s day.
Vi is going to be an incredible mother! She loves spending time with the kids in our life. The way she connects and engages with them is remarkable. When she talks about parenting, it always leads to excitement for our future child, what their interests will be, and all the unlimited snuggles she will give. Vi loves to snuggle.

Meet Jeff, by Vi
Jeff is the most caring person that I know. He is generous and always thinks of ways to help people. He also gives the best advice. Everyone seems to ask for his perspective because he has a balanced and unique point of view on life.
Jeff is going to be a great dad! He is always thinking of fun things to do with the kids in our life. Jeff has turned our house into an epic pirate treasure hunt, with hidden clues and pirate booty. Even when we go to Disneyland, we have silly competitions and prizes, so there is never a dull moment. He also spends weeks preparing our home for Halloween every year.
Jeff loves baking and sharing his masterpieces with our neighbors and friends. This has made him a popular man in our neighborhood. During COVID, he made weekly deliveries of baked treats for all of our friends who were feeling lonely and isolated. He has a way of making everyone feel loved.

Our Home
We have a beautiful home in Orange County, California. It has a swimming pool, a fruit and vegetable garden, and lots of grass for little ones to play on. Because the house is across the street from award-winning schools, we can hear children playing all day. We are about 15 minutes away from everything we love: Vi’s family, the beach, and Disneyland. We visit each at least once a week.
We love hosting parties for our family, friends, and neighbors. Our parties include homemade pizza parties, making s'mores at our fireplace in the backyard, and game nights at the house. We both love to cook for other people, so we always look for an excuse to make something delicious.
We are centrally located to incredible beaches, cities, museums, aquariums, parks, and even the mountains aren’t that far away.
Our Interests & Hobbies
We have always been drawn to the ocean and spend a lot of time at the beach together. We often camp and hike in nearby mountains or take walks on local trails. Most of our weekends are spent with friends and family. Typically we go to the zoo, the aquarium, or conquer an escape room with the family. At home, we love to swim in our pool, scour cookbooks for the next recipe to make, and enjoy a good movie. Jeff is a big surfer and loves to sail and scuba dive. He is also a massive soccer fan. Vi loves to make pottery, garden, read, and dance to 90’s hip-hop. We love anything cheesy and silly.
Our Family
We both have wonderfully supportive families. Most of Vi’s family live in the area. We often meet up for dinner, watch her niece’s sports games and theater performances, or go for an impromptu ice cream at our favorite creamery. She has a huge extended family, which means lots of parties, events, children running around, and a ton of Vietnamese food.
Jeff’s family lives on the East Coast, which we visit at least once a year. Christmas at his mom’s house is an elaborate winter wonderland. She decorates every inch of the house and has 9-12 decorated Christmas trees. We watch Christmas movies (Elf is our favorite), decorate gingerbread houses, and make over 200 delicious Polish dumplings every year.
We have a fantastic group of close friends that we love. Several of them have young children and new babies. They have been so supportive through our journey toward becoming parents.
We Promise...
- To unconditionally love and support them
- To ensure that they are heard and understood
- To support their unique gifts and encourage them to follow their dreams, whatever they may be
- To encourage them not to take life too seriously
- To raise them with the necessary tools to be a contribution to society
- To celebrate diversity and develop a curiosity for different cultures and viewpoints through travel and education
- To teach them the importance of self-respect, self-confidence, and kindness
