Hello! We are Neal & Viviana. We’re from Los Angeles, California. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We know meeting new people is always difficult, but the good news is that we already have something in common: we are ready to love your baby unconditionally and also want what is best for them.

We adopted our son Mateo, in early 2021 and he has brightened up our lives since! We cannot wait to welcome another child into our family through adoption. We want you to know that we admire your courage and understand you are about to make one of the biggest decisions of your life. Please stay strong and know that you are not alone! We feel honored to be considered as possible adoptive parents to your child and are ready to be part of your journey.

We live about four miles away from the beach, and the weather is always great! Like many young professionals, we met online on Match.com. From our first date, we had a great time and talked for hours! We want to say that it was almost love at first sight, because by our third date, we knew we loved each other and wanted to build a future together. After two years of dating, Neal proposed to Viviana on a trail at the Griffith Observatory. It was supposed to be a surprise, but Viviana already knew! (…she had never fixed her hair for a hike.) But even then, it was a very special day for both of us, and Neal even had a friend play paparazzi to take pictures of the exciting moment.

We both come from small immediate families, but like many Latino families, if you add in all the cousins, uncles and aunts, our families are huge! We love spending weekends with our families.

We enjoy traveling and want to introduce our children to new experiences and traveling from a young age. We also love having quiet movie nights at home and hosting game nights with friends and family. Our friends have small children, and we can’t wait for your child to start participating in games and activities with them as well!

I was born in the quiet and extremely hot city of Lancaster, California. Growing up, I was fortunate to have a great family. Our house was just a block away from my grandparents, and I spent time with them almost every weekend. From an early age, I knew family was very important.
I graduated UCLA with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. In college, I became passionate about space, and decided to pursue a career in this field. I am a spacecraft engineer, and my career is very exciting and fulfilling. I have worked on a satellite that is currently orbiting the earth every 90 minutes! I work from home, and I get to be with my family while working. I take breaks to eat lunch with Mateo and sometimes take him out for a short walk.

I have always wanted to be a father to share my interests and explore our children’s dreams together.

Neal is the sweetest guy, and truly my best friend. Being with him inspires me to be a better person, just because he is always so kind and generous. He is always figuring out a way to help our community: he organized a program to teach kids about aerospace and volunteers in our local library teaching adults with learning difficulties.

I was born in a small beach town in Mexico and raised by my strong single mom. I am the middle child of three sisters, so each day was filled with adventures and of course, a bit of drama. I feel that I had the perfect childhood, with my mom being my biggest cheerleader. She was a very hardworking woman, but always had time for my sisters and me. She taught me to have a strong work ethic, but to always make time for what really matters: family.

I came to the United States when I was 15 years old. I learned English in high school and then went to college, where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. I have my own business where I work from home part-time designing hotels in different parts of the world. My job has allowed me to travel to many places: Hawaii, Italy, China, Hong Kong, and Colombia! The rest of my day is spent having quality time with Mateo and cooking home-made dinners. I love singing to him and organizing playdates with friends his age.

I knew Viviana was the one for me the day we met, and I feel so lucky to spend every day with her. I love that she is caring and funny, and always has a vibrant smile. She remains positive and strong, even during hard moments, and this is one of my favorite traits about her.

She is a great mom to Mateo and always spoils us with baked goodies and homemade meals. I love watching her read to Mateo and teach him new things. My wife is very creative and worked hard to design our front and back yards so that we can enjoy family time outside!

Mateo is a loving little boy that likes to explore the outdoors and is always very active. He has been to two national parks, and our goal is that he visits all of them by his 18th birthday! He likes to read books that have flaps with hidden objects and play with his little cars. We love taking him to museums to spark his curiosity. Mateo has friends and cousins his age, and he enjoys playing with them. We look forward to seeing him as a big brother!

We have a lovely home in the Westchester neighborhood of Los Angeles. We live across the street from the park, which has soccer and baseball fields for children.

During the summer, we can hear the parents cheer at the weekend games and we are eager to be one of them! Our neighborhood has a farmer’s market every Sunday, and we enjoy walking there to get some breakfast and choose veggies for the week. Since the weather is always great, we love barbecuing every weekend and eating in the backyard.

We also have a property in Viviana’s hometown in Mexico, which is a cool surfer’s town with amazing beaches and great restaurants. We enjoy visiting often, and we are excited to start a new family tradition where we take vacations there to introduce our children to new cultures and adventures.

Neal comes from a mixed family; his dad is Canadian, and his mom is Mexican. Neal’s mom lives a short drive away, so we visit her often. Every time we visit, she prepares delicious home-made Mexican food that lasts for days! She comes from a large family and is one of the youngest of ten. Most of them live in El Paso, Texas. We remain close to them and visit at least every other year. Neal has 23 first cousins of all ages. This makes for a very fun family dynamic and there is never a dull moment!

Neal’s dad has retired and moved to the Philippines, and we look forward to visiting with him. His family is small, but very close. We always spend thanksgiving with Viviana’s or Neal’s family, and sometimes both! Everyone makes a dish for a delicious meal!

Viviana’s older sister, Marysol, lives close to us with her teenage children, and her younger sister, Fernanda, lives in Mexico. Unfortunately, Viviana’s mom, Rosa, passed away from cancer in 2014, but we like to fulfill her wish to keep her family together: the three sisters are best friends! A lot of her family lives in Los Angeles, and they love spending the holidays and weekends together.
